i am very proud to announce a big project has been initiated behind the scenes this past year. i somehow convinced a small group of hollywood and tokyo investors to set up a trust fund and create a kaiju theme park! *BS was edited not to distract from project 8/28/2012 Update: this project took many turns with several unfortunate turn of events including losing a few friends & family along the way. the core project is still moving forward but with in house production etc. an outdoor park, even a small one is limited in any region that this was looked into due to sooo many extra permits & utilities etc. so rather than shelf the concept- a mutaion of themes developed a wax museum with facilities & giftshop. looking forwad to sharing more details soon! |

Are you allowed to say if the theme park will be in the U.S. or Japan? Or elsewhere? |

thanks for asking. both locations are being discussed and they are not against the idea if its a success possibly doing both but the investors will make those calls not me. i just passed a suggestion box around to folks i know big and small to see if it had interest and was glad to hear right away over half the folks i contacted were prepared to commit without reservation. anyone may freely ask any question they have i will see about getting a statement from the investors themselves asap. afaik if it is set up in the USA it will have i can assure you many more cool things made of plastic than the average park available in its gift shop which will be its prime source of attraction for most folks who collect japanese toys and kaiju specifically. Coop i really had no intention of upsetting you so judge me for my pm after Stu attacked you not for mistaking me suggesting others accept my offer to help others as attack on you. sadly very few folks do good without it being a thing they will gain from. i know i made it clear in my letters to these investors 'what do you have to lose?' aside from one piece i love your art and have told you that. ![]() |

Thanks John. I would love to have it closer to home base, i.e. north america (c'mon, plenty of land in Canada too!!!) but realistically from an investment point of view, I would advise a location in Asia, at least to start out. Once that begins to grow and become established, your group can work on expansion plans. Are you collaborating with other NGOs on this, or is it private charity donation? |

several sites have been looked at are being discussed and as i mentioned Kirkland. its funded privately by folks who wanted to do something in thanks for the 'good' lives they have. i used to think anyone who was wealthy was a jerkoff and could care less about real issues i am humble to i learn i was mistaken. this place will be small tho so don't expect to see 10 miles of parking lots nor will you see a single corporations logo depicted anywhere inside the facility or grounds what ever the case. that was my request i am glad they agreed on, i did feel like i could have been taken as a dick for being so bold. i really hope the independently owned food and beverage companies all come through. some investors were uncertain and will not to condone abusive alcohol usage but are thinking of setting up a microbrew of some monster ales from associates that do that as a profession. they understand who this is for besides less bs expenses will equal better budgets for attractions themselves. it will be more like an old time carnival than disney or other such hyped out corporate marketing places. there is nothing wrong if that is what those places want to do and all would of course be able to privately donate to its trust fund which is still a tax write off either way so it also may end up actually helping the economy too even if it is one drop of blood at a time. also the name will likely change like i said there are others that are choosing that stuff as its their money to invest and such. had i thought 1st no one would give a damn and not try it would not be happening. we have sooooo much work to do and a bit more than a year to put up or shut up. glad i took vo-tech back in high school, a carpentry is a useful trade to know but all i got out of it back then was breaking my shin on the half pipe my friends and i built with leftover plywood. all you out there take a chance do something you think will not work reach beyond your own skin and let yourself believe you can achieve more. failure is for losers, success is failing then salting a wound and getting back up to try again from a new perspective. strive reach take and you will not be taken. Afaik the name i mentioned will still be a part of the place as an environment. it will be for folks and monsters big and small gooble gabba we accept you one of us one of us.. i get a special feeling this will be something great to provide help to and comfort those who are not as fortunate or those poor souls who have no one. |

If I could contribute the use of my characters let me know, I would love to see my monsters made full size for a good cause. Not looking for any kickbacks as well, as long as any profits can help children ,disabled or mentally handicapped. |

Why do you guys have bite marks all over your backs? Is this going to be a Kaiju for Grownups Styled theme park for little kids, or are you getting rights to Tsuburaya and Toho stuff... To me the term Kaiju is a little open ended... I ate a Kaiju burger today... It didn't eat me... Sounds like a cool idea, and I'm asking genuine questions... |

One more thing you might want to be careful about, is dealing with all these huge monsters... We all know what happened when they tried to make King Kong an attraction... I just wouldn't want to see you guys go through all the trouble of building a theme park and then have Godzilla come and shit all over it... We all know what he did to Tokyo <or are we just acting like that didn't happen now?> |

folks from Tokyo are involved so i think this may shock both sides of the pond. until pretty recent times one could not buy a legit DVD of most TOHO properties in the USA. some are still to come but i have the feeling things are changing quicker as minds are being offered another point of view. with politics taken out things can happen. not sure what you mean with bite marks but i did check in a mirror aint nothin on my back but skin and ink thanks tho i think.. ![]() i can not speak obviously for a group of folks whom most of you will never know but personally i do know and invoke its name because kaiju is for me. wish more folks cared for old time beasts too. instead all i see is folks alienating each other over words on a screen for some pop art products no insults intended. answering an email here.. no there is nothing yet online about the park project but plenty of info on the way. somethings have been in progress for quite a while with no mention to the world. no blog pics to see no credits to review. i love doing what i am doing now in life as its giving me a chance at going directly against every shtty thing i am in conflict with in this world. so thankful i got my wake up call and feel good about just being involved. and even tho mischievous little giant mysterious beast land does not sound as appropriate, i bet kids would get it just the same. why not add some fun and break language barriers at the same time? ever hear a japanese fan who is quite fond of and passionate about frankenstein invoke his name? i have, its a trip and makes me smile just thinking about hollywoods creation being meaningful to another person regardless of its origin. so it really will not matter where they break ground i did my part which is the best i can do. |

To those of you "Investing". I'd want to take a flight out to see what I'm investing in, and if you can't do that you have no business sending money to anyone... If you take a look at this link... You can see why you need to be careful... It's a story about the federal government Arresting people in a Charity Scam (Theme parks are mentioned) http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread74018/pg1 I'm sure there are at least 10 places in your own city that could use tangible help, like say the local soup kitchens, or homeless shelters, and as much as the government likes to use the word recession, seeing all the homeless families in my city makes it feel a little more like people would use the money, if they had it. It's like I said to someone earlier, I'm just a paranoid fuck, but I'd rather see my money in action. This could be real, but I've most likely scene every scam in the book... I used to do scam baiting (trying to get scammed to waste months of a scammers time) to fight back a little. I mean come on, a Kaiju theme park for charity (You had me at Kaiju theme park)... I already have backers, but if your interested... I've got millions of dollars lined up, but if you want to send a hundred to keep the ball rolling... I don't want to rain on parades, because like I said, I'm just overly cautious. A theme park base on G zilla and U man and all those guys would be cool, at the same time, It takes years and years and years, of planning and I think Toho would have done it, already if they thought it was a good idea... |

sure 'carnies' worldwide are needed but only if they approach from a desire to offer their talents and skills to a process where they know they will gain nothing but the fruits of goodwill and thanksgiving. weird as it may sound i 100% respect them both for their passion. seeing them both involved would be great as it could show 'others' 1st hand that folks can have different feelings yet do something that has a greater purpose in being united. if they neither have interest its not my place to pass judgement or talk down to them for their choices my goal is only to offer a choice to anyone who wants to be a participating force of will. also i don't take and will not take offense to those who have questions. that would make me a hypocrite because its not all hype or bs and folks can make a difference if they only try. i am guilty however of being jaded to believe otherwise for a very long time. i will do my best and do not bend too much nor over extend myself in figuring out the psychology of mans words always do the 'best' you can and it will be enough. i took up my idea to folks outside this forum last year because i knew if i only came on here and said this or that about the stuff being suggested it would be attacked and a distraction would arise. i knew the goal i wanted to see happen could only be reached by reaching beyond what i had control of. one can not also search to cure the ills of the world in a forum, i reached outside the box. its no longer my dream or goal alone but the hope and desire of 'others' who realize the difference between hype and offering an alternative to mass control. the investment group is funding this not me just to be clear. no money is being 'fished' for nor even asked for, i initiated this process to see if i was not the only one who realized that life is not a certain attitude or mindset but a series of steps we all must be a part of positive or negative. i chose to start a positive infection in direct reaction to how much negative energy there is in 'our' world and because i wanted to find answers to nagging questions i had about my own existence. i knew it was a good place to start from letting 'others' know exactly how i felt and at the same time being brutally honest with myself whether i felt up to the task. i looking deep inside to find one common goal that holds a value in a world gone mad. it personally is i think in fact i know from 1st hand experience it its the principal of love. which is not an ugly words but instead is a revelation of what happiness is based on. which is why i took up the courage to at least try. honestly it brings me more joy to make someone else happy than it does making myself happy. no one wants to be hurt by others we all want, we all deserve happiness no matter how much the world is being convinced the the negative circle is ruling its not. it only offers a suggestion to let it start a fire inside. the shape of a circle is in itself the form of a 'trap' and one can only be influenced by negative aspects if that is what ones choice is. also i could not live in silence any more seeing this knowing fire can also be a useful positive element to make changes provide light or reclaim ugliness that is built up in 'our' world. the donation comments were directed at the food and beverage industry which i asked openly why soo much useless ingredients and not one wrote back. i did however hear back from EVERY indy and co-op oriented producer including comments of support and willingness to help anyway they could. they have my support as well so it really does work in theory and direct application. ![]() 'you can make it happen call out.. from your silience.' |
