^^ Wonder what sweet-nothings Kanegon was whispering?

Thanks for the superb coverage as always Andy. Such a great idea for an anniversary exhibit, and it covers all the best aspects (for me). I really like the artwork with the collage of Ultra Q monsters, which I have seen on the DVDs I think. And that wall of US Toys figures really makes me drool. From his blog Buta was honoured to have some of his toys included, understandably so. Also, that 'Please do not flip the toys sign', total KILLER. Love it.

So I know that DVDs and Blu-ray are ridiculously expensive in Japan, and when it comes to older Tokusatsu type shows, that applies doubly so, but man, it really makes me shed a tear to see the prices on these Ultra-Q sets. I have been waiting for a decent release (not stock footage) and I doubt we will ever see one in other regions. Maybe I will have to spend the next month at some Pachinko.

I know what you mean, I have been going back and forth over getting the new Ultra Q sets but fuck, over 70,000 yen hurts. But i really want to see all the extra crap on those special sets!

Probably not the kind of thing tsutaya would stock? You might get lucky.

Did anyone ever get their hands on these local brews? I'm still curious to hear how they went down.
