Just heard about this: Season seven delayed until fall 2012 Grrrr, why can't they just leave a good thing alone. I am so tired of them constantly messing around with show seasons like this, not to mention how tough it is waiting for more Doctor all the time. This is on top of the already annoying trend for great shows to produce so few episodes per season. How're fans supposed to endure these days? ![]() |

RRRRRRRRR. Moffat's rational for the switch sounds reasonable, though... as long as they hold to it. |

for a show that's been going on for decades with some breaks that last years, a few extra months doesn't seem like too much of a wait ![]() well, i've become accustomed to watching the new doctor who in batches as they're released to streaming in half/whole seasons. patience pays off in this case. |

I've just (re)discovered Doctor this summer- Ms. hellopike and I have been watching what netflix has had to offer for a month or two- It started on a whim with the Eleventh Doctor, mainly because I saw Karen Gillian and figured it might be worth watching... ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I'm no crouching SF babe masturbator by nature, you can keep your unitards and appliqué ears, but I'm absolutely convinced that Karen Gillan must taste like fresh peaches and brine. Although I will miss my fix of new Who over the long months of waiting, I plan to content myself by slowly catching up on 40 years of prior adventures that I've barely scratched the surface of. My only real beef with the proposed new broadcast set-up is that I've come to enjoy the Christmas episode as a stand-alone adventure, and hope that it doesn't become just an extra-length middle story in the year-long continuity we've come to expect. |

Quote: Yates said he plans to “start from scratch” with both the storyline and the cast of any potential film. oy vey. |

i just finished watching the second matt smith season... and i'm fully hooked. was bummed to see the delay, but it gives me time to dig up some of the david tennet seasons to hold me over. (that, and i want to see the early river song episodes again... i remember the first part of the one in the museum, but i'm spotty as to a lot of the other stories.) |

I really like the new series, but I miss the larger TARDIS interior that used to appear in the older shows. It used to be that instead of one great big room, the characters would get lost in the corridors and sub-floors leading off the control room. There's one old episode with Jon Pertwee or Tom Baker, where he runs down a dozen long flights of stairs to get to some room where crazy shit is going down. So silly. |

Yeah, this delay really sucks, especially after having had to wait so long since the last season already. Still, I am very excited to see what Moffat has in store for us, or if he really is throwing it together as he goes ![]() |

It's downloaded! It's downloaded! It's downloaded! I heart the interweb. Steve - The net tells me that it should be playing in about five hours up in Canadialand (on Space), just as it is here in the US (on BBC America). |
