Oh no! This is the greatest loss in the world of animation since Satoshi Kon! At least Shingo-san lived to a nice long life. Still so sad to hear. |

This is really sad news. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that it was brilliant pioneering animators like Araki-san who brought their craft over to western audiences that really influenced us growing up, and the genre as a whole. Creativity like his will be missed. RIP Shingo. |
