Once every four years, people who are salaried work an extra day with no extra compensation. Feb 29th should be a holiday to acknowledge a calendar that doesn't quite align with the mechanics of the universe. It should be celebrated as a non-day that does not count, so anything goes.

i'm bored today, so i did some math... and did you realize that if 1 second was actually .0007 seconds longer, we could erase leap day altogether?
so 7 ten thousdanths of a second, cumulative over 4 years, adds up to one whole day.

now what am i going to do to occupy myself for the rest of the day?

^^ Come by the office and give me a shoulder rub. I went to the doctor this morning to try to cure migraine headaches I've suffered for 30 years. Problem is, my next appointment is not for another 4 years. Hope she got those prescriptions right!
