ive been obsessed recently, i used to have a pair of oakley frogskins, and they broke. so today i just won an awesome vintage pair, king walder style  crystal black frames with violet iridium lenses. these sunglasses are super comfortable and have colors for anyone- id recommend them.  theres an add from generation one. anyway, theyre easy to come by, even have them on the oakley site. what sunglasses do you wear? |

Oh man! Frogskins were one of my first purchases when I got my first checking account...I think 6th grade (yeah, my mom wanted to make sure I learned about money/finances early). I had the ones second from the bottom in the right column. |

Frogskins are great! Right now i'm using just a pair of Wayfarer-styled sunglasses from BxH's Eyes Wide Shut line. Decent quality for a decent price.

those are rad. i didnt know bounty hunter did accessories like that either. they made me think of these which i would love to own but always miss them when they pop up!  ive got a pair of classic wayfarers in black but i have a weird head and one of the arms hurts me if i wear them too long. now im stuck with a pair of raybans that i never wear! and NT! thats a cool story, wish i had a pair of these back in their prime. |

I wear some Von zipper Elmore. I have a large melon head and ray bans are way too small for me. Plus I got em half off at work so that's even better! |

Okay, time to ostracize myself. I HATE Oakley! Never recovered from over saturation in the 80's. I can certainly understand other people liking them but I just can't go there. Lately I have been having a Dita jones and really want a pair of these with tinted prescription lenses.

i'm fully onboard the oakley train... these are my normal wear glasses.  the only problem i have is that my rx is so aggressive, i have a hard time finding sport style frames that can hold the rx. (which is a pain because any frames that can hold the rx are crap for cycling, which is how i get to work most mornings.) these are my rx sunglasses, by mosley tribes.

Sobe the drink company came to ABQ and visited the UNM campus and I got a pair of lime green plastic shades that have the Sobe lizards on either side. Free and they keep the sun out. |

yeah i wasnt aware they made matte. im a gloss man myself though, something weird if i scratch the matte, makes my teeth hurt. |

^ not really recommended, as it one of those "you get what you pay for" sort of deals. imagine paying hundreds of dollars on lenses that are made to fit crappy frames. so you're stuck with having to buy the same crappy frames over and over, or shell out another couple hundred for new lenses to fit a different set of frames. also, if your rx changes, you can keep a good set of frames and just have to replace the lenses instead of having to shell out for a new complete pair. |

well, i have been in specs for quite some time now... i think i got my first pair of coke-bottle lenses sometime in 1980-81. spent my fair share on optics, so just trying to share some learned lessons. =p |
