Grand Rapids Michigan, has a ton of bands like this coming out right now. To be honest I think they all sound much better than Refused. There's a couple bands people should check out if they come through your town. The Skies Revolt, are good, but my favorite hometown hero is La Dispute.

Mustard Plug, the only Grand Rapids band I care about!

Short mustard plug story. My friends brother was the bassist for the band for a really long time. He joined the army, and before he left he got married to his long term girlfriend. While he was in Iraq during the first war there, the lead singer got his wife pregnant, broke up their marriage and dumped the girl. I've hated, the lead singer ever since. I still will go dance around at a show, when they play, but I've always got my middle finger ready for when I get close enough to the stage.

Well that ATDI set was pretty disappointing.

One of my favorite conspiracy theories, I think I heard it from Stewart Swerdlow or David Icke. Anyway one of them said the illuminati were developing hologram technology, and would use it to recreate the return of Jesus, using his image and character to usher in a united one world govt under their control. Another theory around the use of holograms, they would be used to create alien/ufo battles in the sky, using the threat of an alien invasion to establish a one world govt under their control.
