this is killing me and i cant think of the movie-

its got a lot of monsters in it, similar to the movie Legend in effects makeup ( i think)

i just remember something about a portal to the underworld and a bunch of weird monsters fighting this guy or group of people...

neon colors and typical cheesy stuff, but it looked pretty nice.

i know this is really vague but hopefully someone out there isnt as blank minded as i am.

For some reason my first thought was demon knight. That tales from the crypt movie. Wasn't the blood of the demons like neon green?

I don't remember neon anything in Nightbreed.

Big Trouble in Little China had some neon signage.

Haha. Big Trouble in Little China was the first thing I thought of.

maybe the description is an amalgamation of the two movies ?

like when I watched Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison one weekend, to this day I am unable to distinguish one movie from the other.

Sounds just like PHANTASM to me :)

although - thinking about it, I'm not sure if it had neon-colors . . . i haven't watched it recently.

Nightbreed - where Cronenberg decided to do a bit of 'acting' outside of his movies  I love the guy, but c'mon, that movie is hilarious.

Don't know how you guess it from the description either. My initial thought was Little Monsters.

my first thought was the one where the kids parents have that lab in the basement and the kids manage to get sent back in time through some portal and chill with some dinosaur dudes that walked around like humans.. have no clue what that movie was though. haha.. anyone?

edit: found it.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdZybLee9yo Adventures in Dinosaur City.. it looks fuckin awful

I'm a David Cronenberg fan and Nightbreed is not a great film but getting to see Cronenberg act in a more-than-cameo role was a treat. I dug his psycho serial killer character Decker so much that I have the replica mask at home.

anybody remember a movie where this woman had an ancient fetus growing on her neck? I barely remember from like 30 years ago but it kinda freaked me out and for some reason I want to watch it again.

Slack, you're thinking of "How Stella Got Her Neck Fetus Back". It's a classic.
