a member here has been sent folks emails
with a virus attached which did not affect my computer but others may have been infected.

you NEED to let folks know when this stuff happens!

saying, "whoops sorry about that" does not compute!

i dont know what to advise you.

better question would be why these folks never made it public.

run scans on your system make sure you have firewall
current updates etc.

my system refuses all email from these folks from the 1st identified
email which contained a malicious link.

i addressed this issue over a week ago suggesting
that the person let folks here know what was up.

that never happened. hence my alerting folks today

i found out my email got hack & sending out email with hack links

this happen last week & i delete alll my contact in email, trying to stop it from sending out email in case the the email being hack again.

i did try change my pw & update new info to email.

email being hacked & sending with spam links are happen to alot of ppls these days.

the pc anti-malware block most email & you just don't open attack links. then should be fine.

i just received email from Jon/ RAMPAGE TOYS, he say
the RAMPAGE email was hacked?

my english soso, hope you wl understand.

Seriously I'm so sick of this place protecting assholes. People who do that shit should be put out in the open right away.

My email got hacked about a month ago and spam was sent out. When I checked the IP it was based in SF. Not sure if it's related but...

to be crystal clear i do not think alan willingly did anything wrong or purposely did anything. i just think he & the others should have let folks know what was up so they could be aware of the potential harm & be sure they had their stuff safe gaurded & protected.........

i addressed this over a week ago when i 1st realized what was happening.
keeping it to yourself does not help others to be aware- it comes down to respecting others when you know there is a problem so it does not impact others. please understand its not my style to "out" people but your silence was strange to say the least.

Alan is a good guy and would never do this willingly. He made an effort to notify everyone and fixed things on his end. The hacker(s) is the douchebag.

i've rec'd a couple of emails with no title with a mysterious link from Bryan Ramsey. is he on the board?

i also agree with sbbenhcs that anyone who would click a link like that in an email is a complete idiot and deserves the virus.

There are only a handful of people from Michigan, so instead of casting doubt on all of us, if your going to write something like this, you should really just name, names, or not say anything at all. In fact, the person who's doing it may be completely un-aware. If it's me, than I know nothing about this... If it isn't me the other person doing it may know nothing about it. Spill yer guts.

my email account show hacking record that login from Poland.

i don't think anyone should be accused for this!!

i dont know my email being hacked & sending with spam links until my friend told me.

so just scan yr pc to make sure nothing wrong is fine. keep update yr pw if poss.

Also curious, but does anyone know what MSNBot Media is? I see it online as a member, browsing through forums, but it's Grey, and not blue like regular members.

That doesn't really matter, you can use I.P. camouflage and "appear" to be from anywhere in the world.
