I usually try to encourage new boardies to introduce themselves when they sign up here, so I figured it would probably be a good idea to have a pinned "Introductions" thread here for new cats to say hello. So here ya go! Get cracking with the intros!

For you new people, Here's links to some rules and some threads that should help you get settled in. There's also rules posted in the For Sale / Wanted / Trade Bait sections that you should familiarize yourself with, as well as more helpful topics in the FAQs section.

Hello all!

29 year old guy from Tampere, Finland in here. I come to acquainted with all this "kaiju" scene through Japanese horror punk band "Balzac" and their figures. My collection is 99% of Balzac and I mostly collect anything related to them. Having my account actived to this board has opened my eyes for all the awesome figures and toys different companies have to offer, I´m glad I founded this place. I check the forums almost everyday and all the time there´s some interesting pictures/posts etc. in here.
Liking also very much the Mutant Vinyl Hardcore figures. Also Real Head and Cure are interesting makers. I have been educated quite much just by browsing this forum. Thanks to all of you for this!

I´m going to be in LA at the end of September and hope to find some cool shops in there to seek some great things.

Welcome J&S. When you are in Los Angeles at the end of September you should definitely come by and say hello at TAG - Toy Art Gallery. We will be having our Anniversary Show from Sept 15 through Oct 8th.

Welcome J&S. It's cool seeing a Finn in here.
I spent a week in Tampere many years ago, around Itsenäisyyspäivä. I love your town, I'd go back in a heartbeat!

James aka TiredChildren told me to introduce myself in the Whatever forum when he activated my account. Then he created this thread – Serendipity!

So, hi. I’m one of those KidRobot punks that will probably get destroyed over here, but that’s cool. I collect all kinds of vinyl (and plush), and have a little bit of kaiju, which is why I wandered over to your neck of the woods. I like what I like, so there’s not a real coherent theme to my collection, although I think I have every Ugly Doll Kaiju (see, told you I would get destroyed here!) that was officially released.

I'm pretty sure the first Kaiju piece I ever got was a Big Pollard that was a free giveaway at a weird cell phone store party on 3rd Street in SAnta Monica. I'll have to crop out all the Western Vinyl and post some pics in the Show Your COllection section. I hope to discover tons of new and amazing figures to add to my collection!

plastichunter: Thanks for the tip, will definitely visit TAG!

nefasth: Ok, now I´m curious how you ended up in Tampere, usually people who come to Finland just stay at Helsinki. Nice that you liked it in here 8)

Hey there Jason and JxS! Good to have you!!

And don't worry, Jason - All the people over here who hate on KR are closet former KR fans themselves. :D

Here is a photo of DarthHank, some guy and myself.

We will relive this moment again and again for the rest of our lives. I was hilarious, odd, surreal, and awesome all at the same time. I laugh every time I think about it.

Such a great photo, I think it pretty well captures all of that, in that most of us would experience those same things in that situation.
