Hey, I'm looking to replace a lot of my old Lookout! Records stuff from my teen years. If anyone has old records sitting around & wants to sell them, let me know. :)

(The Queers, Screeching Weasel, Operation Ivy, etc)

No Pop Punk lectures, please.

Most of the bands on Lookout! remind me of summertime. I think this is a fitting song.

Hey Missy, have you picked up any of the Queers re-issues on Asian Man Records?

Pop pun rules. Lookout!, before their, erm, ethical issues?, ruled as well. All this to say I'm not selling mine.

No, but maybe i'll go that route for some. I wanted to replace some of the stuff i had and sold/lost/gave away or got co opted by my brother over the years. I'd rather have it on the original label if possible- I also bought a lot of Lookout stuff on cd back then. would like to replace some of those with LPs or 7" if available in that format.

Not a lecture, but you could always buy a stack of records by the Jam, the Undertones, the Television Personalities, the Buzzcocks, Stiff Little Fingers and Wire :D

While yr at it, you really can't go wrong with Chewy Chewy by the Ohio Express!

ok, not that i dislike any of those bands, and I do own records by many of them, but what a weird response.

"Why don't you buy these transformers instead?"

Because they're British (I'll count Ireland just for the sake of argument) and, by default better! :D

The Mean Jeans are killer too and in the vein of the Lookout! stuff. I'll always have ears for Weasel (and most spin offs), The Queers, Groovie Ghoulies, Op Ivy and a bunch of others.

"Weasel Ears" are the reason I like Teenage Bottlerocket. HAHA.

That guitar riff is pretty much an exact rip off of my brain hurts. HAHA

Oh, I was just thinking in a more bird's eye view of things - y'know, higher up on the topographical map? When I hear the term pop punk that's just where my brain goes first!

I'm thinking a more fitting analogy would be my suggesting '70s Popys when you're looking for '90s Bandais

I've seen Jughead around town a number of times. At the grocery store or riding his bike. I'm usually in the area he works (I think) so I feel like a stalker. I never say anything because I have nothing to say and don't want to seem like more of a stalker.

Just to chime in, I saw the Queers open for the Ramones in NH and there were like 30 people there. Great show.

I have a copy of Lookout Records #42. (The Lookouts)
I don't remember playing it more than once.
Send me a pm if it's one you need for your collection.
