Went to see this last week and it was a great movie. Some truly chilling moments. Definetly need to see it again. Anyone else see it? |

I just saw it tonight with my nephew. I thought it was great as well. Had a couple corny moments, but the spooky parts definitely made me jump and my eyes wide. I very much enjoyed this one! |

It was an incredible movie. I don't think it really did anything new exactly but it used all the old horror cliches so perfectly that I enjoyed every minute of the film. It's funny how easy it is to forget how wrong so many other movies get stuff until a movie like this does everything right. |

Cant wait for this to hit our shores! Been spamming the trailer over and over. I'm such a sucker for horror movies, haven't seen a good one since forever! |

Yeah, I thought it was one of the bet horror films I've seen in years. Maybe up there with Poltergeist/Exorcist? Well shot, good acting, and nice story. Classic, traditional horror. |

It wasn't scary to me. I went in hoping to be genuinely scared but I never even jumped. Better than most films that try too hard with a ton of CGI though. I could not stop looking at Ron Livingston's poor wig- why don't actors just grow hair out for roles anymore? I also kept hoping we'd see that horrific face of the witch Bathsheba in the mirror carousel. We only saw it jump off the wardrobe, and then only half of it's face when it possesses the Mom. |

I liked Wan's Insidious so I'm going to check out The Conjuring. I haven't seen any trailers and have zero expectations with regard to it so hopefully it will be a pleasant surprise. |

Saw it yesterday, I thought it was pretty good. It wasn't very scary but the setup and execution of the story was well written and played out. The lady I was with though was pretty freaked out. I thought Insidious was still better, but sequel. Goddamnit. |

I know alot of people say it wasn't scary but really when was the last time a movie scared you as an adult?? Is it even possible anymore? |

I'm torn between the two opinions here. It was good in many ways but also the exorcism/haunting genre has been well explored. So there wasn't really anything new or exciting. It was good but I wasn't even nervous. |

Some of the imagery was frightening because of how primal it felt and alien. I compare it to they type of fear Lovecraft instills, its not something you can completely understand. |

I have had zero time to watch tv. I usually just pick up a season pass for shows on iTunes. Going tonight! |

^^^ Here's the real doll Lawrence. Edit. I actually would have preferred if they use this one. The other doll just fucking looked creepy as fuck and it would surprise me that they would own. ![]() Just saw it and was pretty entertained. I thought the acting was decent and had a pretty good story but I'd really like to see a Horror/Supernatural flick without any music. I think it would be a little bit more intense. (I just remember watching No Country for Old Men and thought it was great that there was a lot of tension but zero music intended to pull the viewer in. The absence of it was great.) |

Well they were saying if this does good they are going to do more movies based on the Warren's case files. Sounds good to me. |

One thing that is kind of off topic, where is the video evidence of the actual case?! It amazes me that since video cameras have come about, the only thing ghost hunters can find is cold drafts and unidentified noises (often played by the producers if you ask me). I love horror movies but I cam quite skeptical about the "based on a true story" label. I think most if not all actual exorcisms were priests torturing the mentally ill or those with disabilities. Am I alone in thinking the Warrens were full of it? Not that there isn't an inherent value in a well told story mind you. |

I believe the Warrens believed it. They never charged any money to do there investigations but then again they did make money and a name for themselves with there books and lectures. Who knows. I'm not much of a believer myself. |
