I watched this on the weekend. It was the most interesting film from a relatively new director i've seen in a while.
A mix of historical thriller and weird indie-art cinema . . . I really enjoyed it.

Its one of those little films where the most is made out of a very small budget and very creative work is produced in the edit.
From the same guy that directed Kill List & Sightseers (equally dark, funny, offbeat and worth your time).

Has anyone else seen it?

I want to see this. I know it stars Julian Barrett from Mighty Boosh.

^^^ unfortunately Julian is only briefly in the film right at the beginning . . . but he's really good for the short time he's on screen.

The main 'recognizable' stars in the film are Reece Shearsmith from 'The League of Gentlemen' and Michael Smiley who played 'Tyres' in 'Spaced'.

If you like your cinema weird, you'll love it. I thought it was great, a lot of images stick with you for days and I felt it wasn't pretentiously weird, but rather very conceptual and thought-provoking - trying to figure out afterwards what the fuck it was all about was half the fun (look up the concept of "nigredo" in case you're not familiar with it, especially if you haven't seen the film yet)! Brilliant writing as well.

The whole 'nigredo' thing sent me on a wikipedia vacuum and I ended up missing my stop on the train.

Thanks for such an informative read.
