Alright, peoples: in the summer of 1993, a bunch of friends and I, on the return leg of an epic 6-week road trip, stayed at a crummy hotel in KC, KS. The place had a tattoo parlor in its basement; I also recall that it had its own lunch counter/restaurant. Geographically, it was right off I-70, north of the highway, west of the river. Anyone? (I CAN HEAR YOU LAUGHING AT ME!! STOP IT!!) |

Thanks, Jason!  The reason for my query is that a plan is being formulated for this particular group of friends to begin having an annual reunion somewhere. If it hasn't been bulldozed and an Olive Garden erected in its place (this has probably happened), this seedy hotel could be ideal. |
