Jeweler Ginza Tanaka will be offering this solid 24KT gold Godzilla figure to celebrate the 60th anniversary next week.

It weighs 33 pounds and will only run you about 1.5 million bucks. Ouch.

Too bad, I wouldn't pay a penny more than $1.4M. I guess the price tag scares away the flippers.

I tried to buy one but the guy wanted me to add 4% for paypal fees and the extra 60 GRAND was just slightly beyond my monthly budget.

I'm gonna wait for the silver and gold marbled version to come out, since that's all the rage these days.

As an expression of the intersection of the arts of toymaking and jewelry, that is pretty cool. Otherwise though, that only works as something that Toho could put in their boardroom or something!

:P Gaudy! Also, insert some joke about Idolaters worshipping the Golden Calf Lizard.

King Ghidorah too . . . . i can imagine some blinged-up rapper buying one of these and mounting it on the hood of their car.

This set is much smaller around 4 inches and only goes for 6 million yen (6 grand). The $1.5 million dollar Godzilla is 25 cm in height. Unfortunately no 25 cm Gold King Ghidorah.

Depending on the weight, $6K might not be a bad price. Would rather buy these than gold coins. If these are 4oz or more I'd consider buying 'em!
