Has anyone seen these pop up on ebay? They are being sold by newbridge_designs and are sold under the name billyboy customs...
There are bootleg resins of pocket zags, negoras, random kaiju and some unmentionables - just type in keywords "zagoran resin" and you will find them.

Not sure if the ebay seller is the maker or just distributor but they are located in Levittown, NY

KR probably couldn't care less, but I'd bet Gargamel and Maxx Toy wouldn't take kindly to someone ripping them off. It's not even like they are creative knockoffs...just identical resin cast in same size/shape. Thoughts?

Looks like your average toy-ruiner who hopped on the lame trend of taking a popular vinyl toy and making resin knockoffs. Doubt he's worth the time (or money) for Gargamel, Maxtoy, RealxHead etc to go after...

I recently just found a guy on Instagram that goes by 8BitMikeToys that's making resin exact replicas of Grody Shogun heads and Super 7 Mummy Boys, too.

I hate resin bootleg toys and the whole scene. In my opinion a bunch of hacks who can't come up with original ideas or sculpt, just sucking at Sucklords tits trying to ride his wake.

This is even worse, just hydro shrinking other peoples toys. Does S7 and lulubell know about this. Someone should show this to Bryan.

As far as I know, Luke's been made aware of it and the dude has since said the Grody Heads are permanently "sold out". I think the Mummy Boys are still up, though. It's ridiculous to flat out copy the exact mold for the head and make alresin casts when the sofubi heads are still being used. Same damn thing for the mini Mummy Boys.

for someone to even try and act like a toy maker doing this is ridiculous.
its basically just doing crafts.

and it just keeps spreading as more people see it and think, "ohh if i just call it bootleg, its ok and i can make that my thing"

You might have to do that repeatedly for him to see it. A fan of Lulubell tagged Amy and Luke in everything involving Grody and the dude deleted all the comments and blocked him.

Honestly, I have no problem with people bootlegging vintage toys that aren't in production anymore. If it's from the 80's, chances are it's not avilable and nobody cares if someone is copying the figure.
But this is just ridiculous. This guy is "bootlegging" -coughstealingcough- current-day designs and trying to ride on the coattails of their success, hoping that someone who can't afford the originals will choose their crap instead. It's in poor taste and should be considered stealing.

So, doing casts of other people's current toys is considered legit? I see he's used the term 'Tribute' on one of the listings.
I mean, if he was just doing it for his own amusement or whatever that would be one thing. But selling them on ebay? WTF?

He's not even changing the sculpt or adding his own spin on it.
If i was one of the original sculpters i'd be annoyed . . . .
