I just had to post this here... found on a garage kit board I still check in on sometimes. This is a lifesize bust of Nosferatu by the great British sculptor Mike Hill, painted by the supremely talented Jeff Camp, who's known for these eye-popping, graphic-style paint-ups... just phenomenal:

Incredible work. I would hate/love to see a whole room of his stuff at once - it would feel like you stepped right into an alternate dimension of a horror graphic novel. I love this. So much better than going for ultrarealism, and much more effective. |
