Renaming sales threads drives me crazy. I know a lot of people hate sales threads bumps so I am surprised no one gripes about this. If it's updated say updated with a date. If it isn't updated leave it. Renaming just makes people look at the same stuff they didn't want in the first place. Now back to your regular programming. |

I've been noticing a lot of people making completely new sales threads for their unsold stuff after a set time... I see a new topic with no responses, get excited and click on it, only to see the same old items. |

I'm guilty of renaming my shit, but only by deleting what's sold from the title. I can certainly see the annoyance in it, though. This thread is probably going to turn into a shit show of what annoys everyone about these boards. |

I actually appreciate sales titles that describe the items on sale. And seeing titles updated can be helpful for getting a quick idea of what sold. Although, I agree, updating the title with a sales date is a good system. My peeve is sales threads that are simply titled as "Sale", "Sales", "For sale", "New sale" without any other description. A bit pointless. It's like getting an email from someone that keeps writing 'email' in the subject line. |

I am one of those folks who rename my sales thread, but it's usually because the toys are different than before. I like it when the sales thread gives you an idea in the title about what's for sale so if it is stuff you simply have no interest in, you don't open it. But that does mean you will have to re-name when you have new toys or sell some of them. But that should give you a peek at new stuff, too, even if some of the toys are the same |

My real pet peeve is even having a pet peeve. I don't like allowing little things to bother me. Yes, some sales threads add and remove a few toys but that shouldn't mean "big ass sale" turns into "really cool stuff" to "look now like you never looked before" all in a week or two. I know we get desperate to be rid of stuff we no longer love. I have a huge box in the closet. I tried here. Some sold some didn't. I am to lazy for ebay or just am not ready to go down that road. I may try here again with a new sales thread but thats a few months past. Thats different from renaming every few days. But I spoke my mind and now I will let this issue go. Not a truly big deal. I just had to speak it. |
