I wanted to share this Kickstarter for a documentary, Kurt Vonnegut: Unstuck in Time. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1468288415/kurt-vonnegut-unstuck-in-time I have nothing to gain from sharing other than hoping this helps to get the film made. Its worth taking a look not just for Vonnegut fans but due to the way the director went about arranging to film. The video explains it, but he just sent a letter in '82 asking Vonnegut if he would be interested in a doc about his life. From that point on, the director spent tons of time, up until his death, hanging with Vonnegut and becoming a close friend. This totally makes the film for me, to have spent so much intimate time with this man would have been a dream. You can see the love the director has for Vonnegut in the short video and his intentions are clear; its closer to a home movie about his grandpa. I really hope this gets made, Vonnegut shaped my mind and heart during and after high school. Please check it out. |
