Wow, I just saw the news. RIP Roderick George Toombs, aka Roddy Piper. :( I was never a big wrestling fan, but They Live is one of those movies that will forever be appreciated by me as genius. His bouts and antics were classic, and as a boy from Saskatoon, I think he really enjoyed his career and what he did, which is why he had so many fans still. I think it really came across he enjoyed his character and was never resentful of his fame, which is not the same for a lot of others - he just had fun. A sad loss to many. Condolences to his family and friends.

Saw him last year at Steel City Con, he was VERY down to earth and seemed to relish the fans.
I have met 100s of famous folks and only a handful have shown that fame did not make them
into something they were not. He was up there at the top.

They Live showed us all how We Live.
