Locomoco wrote: I have problems with my mask ranger Obake always tipping over... I had the same problem. I just tried to manuver the arms so they were as far up as I could get them inside the sheet, to balance him out more and make him not as top heavy. that's been working well. otherwise, rhino, I would get out the hairdryer and do some work. I fixed a Count Chocula vinyl that I wouldn't stand that way. |

yeah, i have a string under one of my obake's foot that keeps 'em from being unbalanced tumbling down. so heating it up works? does the vinyl have (for lack of a better term) shape memory? or will it stay that way when you bend it or whatever. |

I usually heat it up, but not too much to the point where it's too soft, but just enough to mold it a little, and then just try to move the figure however you want it and hold it there for a while. for feet, I would heat it up and then press the feet against a desk or counter or something into the position where they would stand and hold it there while it cools down, so it will hopefully keep that shape. the count chocula I had to do several times, and actually heated him, pressed it to shape, and then put him in the freezer to try to get him to hold. after maybe 2-3 times, it stayed. however, he was like $10 and I wouldn't put an obake in the freezer. |

Why, in the bathroom, of course - lookin' over yer shoulder to make sure the wife/goilfiend don't see what you're doing with her stylin tools. While you're standing there, Skippy, doctoring your geeky fetish, run a little cold water in the sink why dontcha? Now to shape yer little toy under the heat. Now to put it under the cold water. Ta-daaaa! Woiks like a charm . . . |

I actually blow dry my hair every morning. the styling tools are shared in this house. |

Of course, even back when I had hair down to me shoulders, I didn't blow-dry it. I'm jus' too damn manly for that sissy-type stuff. =) |

I just can't stand my hair to be wet for like an hour, which it is if I don't blow dry it. |

You can also use museum putty. It won't stick to the vinyl long term, but it will hold it in place properly and give it some adhesion. I'm just going to add some tonight to a Mazinger Z figure I have that just won't stay put. He shelf dives like a little fool. |

maybe it's not a problem at all - maybe what you have on your hands is a rare variant . . . |
