Found this wonderful mini behind the scenes of Kure Kure Takora documentary. Totally inspirational stuff! Makes me want to buy a block of foam and make a hot wire cutter and start a YouTube channel or try to hunt down the Kure Kure Takora DVD. Whichever is easiest... |

Fantastic! That is such a great video. Brilliant find, and thanks for sharing. So interesting to see the development, I just wish I could get some English subtitles to work for these amazing videos. I really have to brush up on my Japanese; there is a whole world of undiscovered gems like this one waiting to fill my brain with their eclectic knowledge. |

Yes isn't it great! I think this was a feature on the DVD collection. I wish there was subtitles too but I watched it with the wobbly translated auto generated Japanese Close Captions. Kind of worked. ![]() |

So great! Thanks for sharing! This is so amazing! On our visit to Toho studios last Japan trip I had asked our tour guide if Kure Kure was filmed somewhere on the lot, and he told me yes, at one time there was a TV show division there (Not anymore). I just had to make sure I was on the same blessed ground it was filmed, as it's one of my favorites. Toho isn't exactly the biggest of studios. So I imagine the shooting schedule for the whole series must have been pretty tight! |
