This is very funny stuff!

I posted about Ronnie Johns a while ago,
but no-one took much notice.
I'm reposting in the light of the interest shown

Are you Australian?

I dont know how else you could know about this show.

The oldies hate it, because of the copious swearing from the Chopper character.

If you're not Australian, check out the Chopper movie which starred Eric Bana. Classic !

I'm surprised at folks getting on the Ronnie Johns show too.
The Chopper skits are the best - especially the one where he does the weather.

Ronnie Johns' Chopper character is based on a real life underworld crime figure - Mark "Chopper" Reed. He is famous for having another inmate cut his ears off so he could get moved to a different prison :shock:
The movie that Darky mentioned is the life and times of the real Chopper and not an extended Ronnie Johns Chopper skit. The Chopper skits are full of Australian jokes and refferences to the real Chopper, so it's probably not a universal thing I guess.

Check out that movie with Eric Banner as Chopper though.

It might just be me I guess.

People sometimes ask me if there's anything I miss about England.
I usually just laugh & say "Fuck off!!!"

But I do miss British comedy.
I used to love things like "The Fast Show", and this is pretty similar I think.

And, now you've said that, I think I've SEEN that movie ...
