Sure why not. Missy should place her teeth and the bloody toy under her pillow, I would love to see the look on the tooth fairies face. |

What is wrong with this world? Too protective. Years ago, my doctor ripped out four of mine under local anesthesia. Got to keep mine and leave the hospital within hours. |

no straws, but i do get to have ice cream and pudding for dinner, so its not all bad. no hot food for 36 hours, so the mashed taters are in there just waiting to be s l o w l y devoured. |

Fuck yeah - any excuse to eat ice cream and lie around. Oh, and they won't even give you copies of X-rays anymore - must be some kind of malpractice thing. I had a CAT scan a few years ago, and they shot me right down. Would have made a grest picture for an album cover. |

Missy, Glad things went smooth for you! I didn't want to post until you already had the procedure...cause I didn't want to scare you. I only had 3 wisdom teeth and all 3 were impacted and two where actually growing in sideways. My experience was a nightmare. And I pride myself on my extremely high tolerance to pain, but I was out of work for 2 weeks after my wisdom teeth were extracted!!! I made the mistake of not being knocked out and chose the novacaine shots, nothing worse then having a doc have one foot on your chair and his other knee on your chest to get leverage to pull an impacted tooth out of your head, the process got so bad that he actually caused me to pull a muscle in my neck from the violent pulling. Avoided the dry rot, but everything else went wrong. The docs wouldn't admit it, but later on another dentist showed me in an x-ray where they actually fractured my lower jaw while removing one of the teeth. All but two stitches popped in the first two days and had to go back to get restitched. The bleeding didn't stop for 4 days. Even when it was finally all over and I went back to get my stitches out the freakin' doc slipped and cut the shit out of my gums...so I had to get new stitches for that gash. ANd this was a very reputable dental surgeon. I know about 10 people that used him and had the easiest time ever. In fact my friend Brian had 4 pulled and only took a few tylenol and went straight to work that very same day!!! I went through the codiene like candy and it barely took the edge off. But talk to me about root canal and I had a completely different experience. |
