When someone says it's raining after they leave, it usually means that's a good thing...

So what are your impressions of California and the culture?

Are they all a bunch of godless sodomites? hahaha

overall, I liked it.

the culture was pretty much how I expected it to be, more laid back than it is out here. not everyone, but a lot of people, seemed to get up and roll to work at later start times and in more casual clothes. people drive and talk and do things slower. people seemed smarter and healthier (way less smokers, or at least I thought so).

I don't know if I'd want to live in either city I visited though. maybe outside of them, but probably not in the city proper, or at least not anywhere I could afford. but then again, I don't want to live in the city I live in now either.

I'm a suburbs guy, but I didn't get to see too many of those.

Skylar - don't believe the laid back hype. Having worked in the city of London and LA, and then in my previous job having worked with both the LA and NY offices, I have found that things appear laid back when u visit - but aren't when u work here. In general there are nowhere near as many late night and all night clubs compared to London and NY, because people get up so early here.

The LA weather seems to be just like London was, so I'm thinking I brought it back with me.
