Lisa and I are in seattle this weekend, any tips on what to do? We have done most of the tourist things on previous trips.

First.....stay out of that record breaking rain.

Then have an espresso at either of my two favorite coffee shops:

Caffe D'arte
1625 2nd Avenue

or

Espresso Vivace
227 Yale Ave N or 901 East Denny Way or 321 Broadway Avenue East (this one is a sidewalk bar)

My buddy is up there right now doing work and he and his girl said the rock and roll museum was cool and the sci-fi museum was pretty sweet. He said it was really cold!

Go check out BLVD Art (gallery) - they've got some pretty nice Robert Hardgrave paintings right now. Might as well check out Roq La Rue as well - it's right next door...though I didn't care for their current show.
Both galleries on on 2nd in Belltown (the area just north of downtown).
You should stay at the Ace Hotel...

Oh, and if for some reason you wanna see a movie - go to Cinerama and watch the new Bond movie. It's the biggest damn screen! Also very close to the galleries mentioned above.

Eat at Wild Ginger! Seven Flavors Beef is incredible, awesome wine list too. I'll get you the addy to my homies new spot if you want, he'll style you if I make the call.

Roq La Rue is a fabulous gallery (BLVD Is owned by them)

Vivace is a few blocks from my house and has the best lattes.

Frye Art is a very neat free museum but current exhibitions look lame

Grab a copy of the stranger (free and everywhere, especially around capital hill) for music listings, or see online (http://www.thestranger.com/seattle/Home)

Wild Ginger isn't that great in my opinion. PM me type of food and I'll give you some suggestions for slightly less known spots if you want.

If you're into photography, Art Wolfe's studio/store is great, and so is the Photoraphic Center Northwest.

If you tell me what you're interested in doing, I'll give you more ideas.

Wild Ginger is alright - terribly overhyped though. Tamarind Tree in the ID is pretty tasty if you're into Vietnamese. Their menu is like 30 pages! But the wait is real long for a table.
For Thai, my favorite was Kwanjai in Fremont.
For fried chicket - Ezell's!
Gotta stop by Dick's for a burger and fries!

Sorry NT, but i've got to give the Tamarind Tree a HUGE thumbs down ! We were going to one of our favorite restaurants in the ID and it was closed, so we decided to try the Tamarind, it was awful and pricey for what we had too. Maybe just a bad day but bad enough that we won't go back.
I suggest going to China Gate for some of the best Dim Sum in Seattle ! Consistantly very good. Six Arms has great burgers and beers plus other good food. Maybe go to the Fremont area and check out OKOK, gallery and vinyl ! Say hey to Charlie :D

Fantagraphics is having a grand opening for their new gallery in Georgetown (an old industrial part of town that developers haven't eaten up (yet). I think it's tonight, but it should be open on Saturday.

And for something you won't get in the bay area, go up in the mountains. You have plenty of good food at home - no novelty there.
