Maybe I'm taking what I'm fed, but I don't see it being invloved. Blind? Yes. Heads inserted in asses? Definitely. Intelligence exisiting, but wrapped in so much red tape? Absolutely. I think we "knew", but just didn't know we "knew". Is that Rumsfeldian or what? I think we had the intelligence, but the people who had access to it were so caught up it petty bullshit and politics they completely ignored it.

That's what I think, too. I think the government failed to prevent the attacks, but I do not believe that the attacks were simply allowed to take place in order to further some agenda. And I certainly do not believe for a second that the government actually planned and carried out the attacks on its own civilians. If I believed that, I would be making arrangements to live elsewhere.

I guess I should have made the second option read, "The government had prior knowledge of the attack and INTENTIONALLY allowed it to occur."

Believe it or not but we as citizens of the US are nothing but cogs in the machine. A very well oiled machine. There's really no conspiracy at all because it's all about money...society works in funny ways. A man in a suit can get away with murder, while the peasant is walking around handless for stealing food to eat. Either way if you want something you can't just take it without some sort of show, an explanation. IE: we're getting those filthy heathens who flew planes into our towers...in Iraq...yeah Iraq

i'd have two planes smashed into buildings if it promised me and my itchy trigger fingered homie's a chance to get our new toys out and about. And a chance to make more money than god, would justify it even more so. I mean these guys make biiig fucking money. Like way bigger than our lives are worth you know.

Whats the lives lost at 9/11 compared to that bukue money they bout to make off the oil. Not to mention friends involved in the production of war weapons/machines get a chance to triple production. Or all the other closely related companies that are doing the "clean up" work, construction and building of an infrastructure.

The way i see it is... Alright you wanna make a bunch of tanks, cool. You want a contract to build this shit once i smash it to the ground, cool. Pepsi? you want in...okay then Coke it is. If i go there and fuck up everything surely I'm entitled to decide who gets to fix what (lets forget that our president has close financial/political/religious ties with everybody fixing it)

For a country so critically dependent on the worlds oil supply... A few thousand people is really nothing to lose. Would you rather have those extra 2,000 people around or secured means of gaining access to the worlds supply of that good black gold. Seriously our country burns more oil an shit than most third world countries combined

I mean our president said god told him to bring democracy to Iraq (people have been killed for this in the past). Due to religion the art of god has been lost.

Bush is a degenerate piece of fucking shit willing to take advantage of stupid, sheep like people of this nation. he talks in funky half truths like a comic book hero to American's who will gain close to nothing from his adventures and have everything to lose.

I think the Bush Party knew and I hope every soul lost in the attacks haunts them in their reptilian sleep rations. may their mob like mentality get them whacked.

Debunking 9/11 Myths: Why Conspiracy Theories Can't Stand Up to the Facts

Quote:
Expanding on an article published in Popular Mechanics in March 2005, the staff of the highly regarded magazine painstakingly deconstructs many of the myths surrounding the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Drawing on interviews with engineers, aviation experts, military officials, eyewitnesses, and investigators, this book addresses only those questions raised by conspiracy theorists, mostly that somehow the U.S. government was behind the attacks, and puts forth no theory of its own. Each section announces a theory, discloses the major proponents behind the theory, and deconstructs the theories specifically surrounding the World Trade Center (the fires could not have melted the steel in the structure), the Pentagon (the holes in the building were too small to have been made by a Boeing 757), and United Flight 93 (that it was actually shot down by an air force plane). The afterword details how Popular Mechanicsitself was accused of being part of the conspiracy to support the administration. Although it isn't likely to stop conspiracy theorists, this book offers sound information for readers to ponder.

I haven't read this book, but I think I will.

I think that's the first Jamiroquai quote I've ever seen (assuming that's what you're quoting, of course)!

you should have an option "the government had prior knowledge and couldn't stop the attacks from happening"

The only thing in Loose change I can comment on is the short selling and the bullion. Both of these claims are unfounded (IMO). Statistically the short selling was not out of the ordinary over the course of the year, in fact the increased volume was not even noteworthy enough to trigger a trading alert for most market makers.

Sadly, I think it happens because of one group of evil men and another group of incompetent ones.
