Yes, Fed-ex does deliver and pickup on Saturdays...BUT you pay a premium over the regular charges

Oh and by the way, If anybody comes home to a Fed-ex doortag (so you missed a delivery that required a signature) and it isn't marked as the Final Attempt, it will be re-attempted tomorrow without the Saturday Premium charges.

And do your local Fed-ex Couriers a HUGE favor and sign the freakin' doortags so they don't have to attempt the damned delivery for a third day. Every single doortag they leave means an extra delivery they have to make the next day over the enormous amount that will come in the following morning especially this time of year! You have no idea how frustrating it is to be done at the end of the day and see 30 packages that you couldn't deliver due to signatures being required and nobody being home. Right away you know that added to the 200 packages that will be arriving for your route tomorrow you can add those 30 to the insanity.

After this rant can anyone guess what my part time job is??? :D

When calling FedEx just say 'Rep' at anytime and it will direct you to a person.
As for DHL... "Day and a Half Late" says it all

You can also have packages left at the FedEx Ship Center or a FedEx Kinko's to hold for pick at your lessure

Don't ask how I know either

Yep I guessed that when IO input the tracking number and all I got was "In Portland". No out for delivery, etc....

Thanks!

DHL does a pretty hurting job up here...a couple years back (on the first attempt at delivery, mind you), they left a box containing our just-repaired digital camera in the snow, in front of a door no one uses in the winter (and to get to this door, you have to walk past a door/porch that is very obviously our main entry). I called them three times over the ensuing three days, trying to investigate where my package was, before finally spotting the snow-covered lump on the front porch...the camera was fine, thankfully. I gave 'em one more call with some...feedback.
