Anybody have any info on this?

It looks like they didn't renew but I am hoping it's not gone forever...

Richard Cox posted this to the ClubTokyoC list:

"Just to update: I've begun the process of switching the domain back on. Unfortunately, my contact information has changed so I have several hoops to go through to, understandably, prove who I am. This involves a couple of faxes and some photocopies of my personal IDs. I should still have things running by Monday/Tuesday, assuming the network refresh is timely."

Good news indeed!

This is one of those "You don't know what you've got until it's gone" scenarios. I've been back a half dozen times over the last few days and each time it kills me. Glad to hear things are on the mend.

I think there's a genuine opportunity with the ClubTokyo material to adapt it into more of a database-type site like Zinc Panic. (PVC Panic?)

Of course, I don't have the time to do this. Someone else do it. ;p

yeah, I tried to check something on it a day or two ago and freaked out.

I figured it would be back up in a few days though

Fortunately I've committed the entire site to memory.

That is fortunate, because now I know who to harass with an enslaught of Kaiju related questions, trivia and other related japanese toy nonsense. :D

Just don't bother me while I'm grooming my massive eyebrows, or trying to get the stains washed off the corners of my mouth.

There's a crappy mentat joke in there somewhere. Maybe if you squint.

"Put the kaiju in there, Pete, and turn it 'round real neat."

Unfortunately it's not open like a wiki is, nor is it as broad as it could be. Don't get me wrong, it is an amazing resource, but imagine if it could be incorporated into something on a larger scale, akin to (again) Zinc Panic.

You're right that it's not as open as a wiki (you can't add whole new entries), but all the main listings do have a link allowing you to add comments. They have to be reviewed and approved by the site owners, but I've added a few comments. If they update it to allow comments on the specific variants I'd be able to add a lot more.
