I started a new job this week, and I wanted to stop at dunkin donuts for coffee on the way, when I googled the neighborhood for the neareast location:

Wow. Back in the day ('80-'81) our entire band shared an apartment in downtown Milwaukee, and there was a DD right across the street. They had a deal where you could get a cup of coffee, a donut, a cup of soup, and bread and butter for $1.59. That was eating high on the hog in the days of ramen noodles and generic mac'n'cheese! DD rules! |

I read somewhere recently that DD beats out Starbuck's in coffee sales up in the northeastern part of the country. |

dudes, why do you think Philadelphia is consistently one of the fattest cities in America? it's like the ONLY place to get breakfast, other than a greasy egg/breakfast meat sandwich from a cart on the street. we do have Starbucks as well, but not nearly as many. |

Starbucks is pretty great, I don't care what you say! I prefer DD over Krispy Kreme though for donuts. |
