| Post subject: | Obama on Front |
I am hosting a Barack Obama event at my office in the financial district on Sat March 31st. I want to extend an invataion to any SkullBrainer's interested. If you would like to attend please PM me you email and I will ffwd an invatation. Here is Obama's desrciption of the event: "On March 31, people across America open their homes to friends, family, and neighbors to kick off a week of support for a movement Barack Obama and the movement to change America." My office mates and I will have food and drinks for a couple of hours and a large screen to watch the Obama speech. We will put no pressure on you to donate money or register as a democrat ( but we all need to register to vote). I hope nobody take offense to this post, if you do please let me know through PM and I may delete it. Thanks, Glenn |

I would gladly attend your event if I were in SF. I hope that no one finds your post offensive, as you are not asking anyone to convert to anything. I think it's a very positive way to bring people together to discover Obama's platform. I find listening to any politician in isolation to be somewhat distracting, while listening with others in a friendly environment allows discourse (which is all the better to get to the pros and cons of a platform). I think it's great of you to do this and invite everyone... |

i tend to agree. i'm certainly not decided on who i will potentially vote for, but access to possible candidates is a great thing. |

Sounds great what time does it start up? We're attending a wedding in Dublin that Saturday so I'll even be cleaned up. |

I have never registered to a political party. I classify myself not so much as an independent but as a realist. I usually vote for the candidates that seem to be less full of bullshit than the others and have the same views on topics that I care about. I have never and I repeat never been excited about any political candidate in my 20 years of voting until now. There is something real about Obama. I can't wait to hear more of what he has to say. Right now, it would take the other potential candidates finding their souls and becoming human again for me to not vote for Obama. |

Does BO have enough experience for president? I would like to find out more about him. I am pretty solid with Bill Richardson at the moment. |
