I may have mentioned, like a million times, I'm originally from Chicago, not some burb, but from some awesomely-awful crackhead neighborhood where I woke up to bullet holes in my windows 4 out 7 days a week. And some of you may have seen this lady before, but she makes me home sick and beam with pride: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQdp68zsK4I |

That's a good one too. If they get the games I'll be glad not to be around, too crowded. And I bet all my fav. eataries will jack the prices up for tourists. I hate that type of junk, just not into crowds. |

here is another one of Chicago's very own. If you have ever been within a mile of Wrigley Field on game day you can both hear Ronnie and smell him. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-fyZWn_0YA |

Wow. Jan Terri is a wonderful thing. My mom lived in Batavia. We went to Chicago a few times, mostly to Navy Pier, but I never saw a troll quite like Jan Terri. She needs to make a comeback. |

I live a few blocks away from Wrigley and I see Ronnie all the time. I still cannot understand a word he says ------------- My Chicago favorite: Son Seals http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AgvjLqUak9s It was devastated when he died in 2004 |

I can't watch your videos here at work, but we were in Chicago this past weekend and your city is really, really amazing. I can't wait to get back out there. We're hoping for September, but I'm angling for sooner...we'll see what happens! Best birthday I've ever had...architecture, good food, toys, music... On the subject of the Olympics though, we were walking through Millenium Park the other night and stumbled on the Blue Cross Blue Shield Building with Chicago 2016 pattern illuminated on the various floors! I'll post some pics when we get them uploaded. |

I love Chicago, but due to a lot of it's negative attributes (over priced real estate/taxes, Daley, purging of the middle class) I had to leave. But when I saw these videos it reminded me of being a kid, the way the city wasn't built up to be a tourist attraction, but built up for those who lived there. Weird freak trolls. Bad hair. Good times.... |

I chatted with those folks over the weekend and it should be a nice time indeed! On an aside note Blood drinker...we were pretty amazed at how much new rela estate is downtown, but in comparison to here we thought the deals were pretty decent..some of it was pretty high though. One condo we saw a listing for around 300k. The square footage and amenities here would be double that...but I think that's true of either east or west coast. it reallty is a beautiful city though |

I just think most major cities are over priced. For $300,000 I want some actual land, but it just depends on your wants/needs. For a middle class working guy/gal, trying to start a family, it's really REALLY hard to start from scratch in Chicago, or any major city. Again I guess this goes on your definition of "middle class." Buuuuuuuuuuuuuut that's a whole different load of beans, and this is no place for it. I plan on coming back in a few years after building up some real estate experience and finishing some extra college. I WILL be back for that show though, how can't I? I'll have free room and board with my mom!!!! |

That was pretty cool! The whole package; someone did THAT. what a treat. catchy song, too. Anyone follow Tim Kinsella's mess? Chicago had some interesting music come out of it. And way over in L.A.--anyone dig IDAHO? |
