That's a straight line if I've ever heard one; however, I'm not going there. |

its very strange but not without charm - about the size of the vcd vader. there was also a similar scaled Kaws-out version of Hashim from TokyoTribe 2. Actually I liked that better... |

Saw it today. I thought it was really sweet only complaint would be that it may have been a little cutesy. If it had been a little more overbearing and big I think it may have worked better. That said, I will be hunting that thing down no question. |

M500 wrote: man, that skull over EVERYTHING is played out, can't that dude draw anything else? Unfortunatly "that skull over EVERYTHING" Is what blows his pieces out the door everytime. But i agree with you completly. |

I think people who diss kaws simply don't understand the statement he is making. the funniest part to me is that M500 is the biggest Kozik fan around. Man that guy is eclectic. |

pretty bold statement i know a little about art myself, and i agree about the skull thing being overdone. it was a fresh idea and a clever comment on our culture, but at this point it seems it is simply done to sell to those that miss out on earlier pieces look at ron english - his comments on pop culture are similar in theme, but his images change at least. |

Honestly what is so "ARTSY" about plugging in the same face used oh so many times into Vader? What about that makes it "art" that I don't understand? And by the way, I know alot about art. I took it in every grade from pre-k-12. |

I love the 5YL Companions and the Dissections. And I liked the Kaws Skull Kuns. But this does absolutely nothing for me, just leaves me cold. |

If he had used the dissected head I think it would have worked. The imagery doesn't work because the helmet is already a symbol for a skull so there is really no juxtaposition; he just substituted one skull for another and his skull isn't as good as vaders helmet. Maybe he should have done this to and ewok, I know those little bastards are up to something: yub nub, my ass! |

Posted over on the darkside earlier . . . the Darth KAWS is just visible in the first pic. Probably preaching to the converted but the rest are a derivative based on Hasheem, a Santa Inoue character from Tokyo Tribes. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

It's also based on Nazi helmets too. Nazis and Samurais, we need more of that kinda good action going on. |

yes it looks like a nazi helmet but the whole suite is a exoskeleton just like the kaws skull is an exoskeleton (the dissected shows us what is inside). I have to admit I do kinda like the toy. ![]() |
