Hijack alert, BUT not the bitchslap you were expecting! YES, I need these exact three as well...how weird is that? Maybe because they are F'ing hard to get and only in every 15th case (all three chases are distributed in teh same case apparently - D'oh!)...atleast they are now.... First tiny (they are bigger than JP min's so I am calling em tinies) and first Western I have been stoked on in ages. Even teh dupes don't matter. And please, all you haters out there, REMEMBER when YOU collected [expletive deleted]'s and hung out on KR all teh time? Yeah...I thought so.... ![]() |

ug, these 3 figs (especially the lava teeter) will go down in history like the firecat, mr bunny etc. and every KR kid will want them in his collection, then spend daddys salary to get them. The legestics behind american based companies like KR make my stomach churn. they know the average collector has a similar brain chemestry with a gambler and know they may (and will) buy case after case hoping to find the lucky one w/ 3 chases. (the idea of a "chase case" instead of a "chase blind box" takes this series to the next level. I guess the diffrence between eastern "rare" and western "rare" is the ammount of commons and crap you have to buy and sift thru to get the good stuff. on a sidenote: these are looking cool.. I may have to buy 1... NAH!! |

Cutter is the best thing he's done since Mr. Bunny/Firecat IMO. Luckily with all the doubles I managed to find one with good paint. I'm hoping urban outfitters gets em in so I can raid all the cases for the chases! |

I have never been a huge J Led fan nor understood the crazy prices his stuff commands. I will say all these new figures are very refreshing to see though. The Gloober looks really good. |

WoW! Not really the responses I was expecting but I am glad that so many of us brainers are still stoked on Ledbetter. I agree that KR must have been smokin' some crack when they figured out the chase case distribution. At least I got lucky enough to take 3rd place in the "Chase Race" and score a free case and the chance to purchase a second for 60.00. I have a lot of doubles now, but sadly, none of the top 3 that everyone is gunning for! |

wizeguy wrote: I agree that KR must have been smokin' some crack when they figured out the chase case distribution. As long as their customers tolerate it then its likely done by design to force people to buy lots and lots of cases since most cases are duds and yield no chases at all. This makes blind cases the new "blind boxes". Its just one of the many reasons I won't buy any KR product. |

Ledbetter, Jarvis, Kaws, Lau, Biskup, most Strangeco releases . . . there's still a whole world of cool shit being produced AS WELL as Japanese vinyl . . . unfortunately there's way more landfill too so it kinda gets negated. ![]() |

For $8 a pop, these are well designed & well executed figures (provided you like Ledbetter). As far as KR goes, these are the rare exception to the norm. After I bought a couple of these blind, I snooped on the 'other' website to see about the series & noticed they had a few threads about the latest &*^%% having defective paint. |

Biff wrote: For $8 a pop, these are well designed & well executed figures did you look closely at them? These have to be the WORST quality toy ever produced! I don't think I got 1 out of a case of 20 that had good paint. This combined with the awful case layouts have made this completely disapointing. |

audiodifficulties wrote: I just don't get jled stuff Me either but I honestly tried. So many smart/cool people like his stuff that I figure he's doing something right. He's a great illustrator and has a strong visual style, but FWIW it's all so repetitive and cute with a very slight edge, realized as toys. I don't see any point in hating on it though. Just "different strokes." My real issue is with KR's poor QA, not JLed's design sensibility. He deserves to have his work produced by a more caring company. I had some of the Teeters for awhile but was really bothered by the bad registration on the colors and the fact that the bottoms of the feet were so bubbly that they wouldn't stand up or stack. Not JLed's fault. |

I have four of the first five sculpts (don't have the Lava) but stopped with those. I like the lines and curves and the kind of illustrator feel to them. They have a nice Western feel versus alot of the garbage out there. It's unbelievable that QC problems are still an issue with that company. |

the majority of QC problems are the result of 1: designers are not familiar with the limitations of pad printing and painting technologies when it comes to the designs of toys. Theres a reason all my 'western' releases are 'limited' in coverage and complxity, I know what can and cat be printed/paint matched over a curve or area of volume, over an undercut, etc and deisgn accordingly...and I have almost no QC problems over literally hundreds of different releases. 2: Remote location of manufacture. IE: there is NO ability to have an 'inspector' that works for say the american company at the location in China where the toys are made. Everyone except for ToyR, which IS near the factories and whose owners DO speak the local Han dialect can 'effectively' (that is threatened, wheedle or bribe) a decent quality product. That is why Toy2r stuff is usually the best of all quality of chinese manufacture..cause raymond can get on the phone, chew ass and then go over the border that day to see whats up. Other people cannot do that. 3: Rotocasting itself is the CHEAPEST possible way to make stuff, it is the only reason any of these toys exist at all. Even the best manufacturing plants are really really primitive with basically, unskilled peasants making the toys. They do not care,, and the average 'run' of toys is small potatoes to a manufacturing plant. to just blindly blame 'KR'..or whoever is idiotic. YOU try getting shit like this made, and come back to me wjen it works out 'perfect'. |
