I'm with you there - I just don't understand the appeal. The earlier stuff seemed to be kind of tongue-in-cheek (in an ultra-crude, DIY kind of way), but this just looks like wannabe-KR crap.

Talk to him for like 5 minutes and it all becomes clear. Super cool dude super funny figure. I mean who wouldn't want a toy made of their alter ego.

I know the guy. Love the 'bootleg' action figures. brilliant. His 'deal' is a little annoying, but I got to give him props for

1. having a dream
2. actually making it come true

He worked his ass off to get his 'real' toy made, and it makes total sense with his over-all trip.

I literally have not seen someone start with zero , and come up like this in along time.

that, I can respect.

I'm scared. This is what the rest of the world thinks how toy collectors behave:

Most toy collectors could not care less what non-collectors think about our hobby. We're already accustomed to the funny looks, the disapproving significant others, etc. If anything, prude or otherwise pretentious disapproval of a hobby only fuels the fun rebellious aspect that comes with being an adult who collects toys.

In an age when South Park humor has massive popular appeal, I don't think the intentionally rude Sucklord commercial is really going to have any effect on anything, except to maybe sell some Sucklord figures. :-)

Suckadelic 'toys' rock. They're bootleg resin figs meant to be left in the package, so they're less toys and more... well, art, I guess. I loved what he was doing with the Star Wars knock offs the first time I saw them. I only own one of them, but I know I'll add more to my collection eventually. I've been eyeing that Gay Empire pink stormtrooper for a while now. I think it's awesome that he has his own vinyl toy now, too. I've seen it and it doesn't really appeal to me, but I'm with Frank on this one. The guy is doing his thing, making it work and now he's got his own vinyl figure. That deserves some measure of respect. He's got mine.

I love those Suckadelic fake commercials, they capture the spirit of the old Kenner spots. "They're art pieces, stupid! We're not supposed to open them!"

The web page says that there are two different color variants of the figure, but only the grey one is shown. Any news about what the second one is like? (It would be awesome if they did it in "Holiday Special" colors.)
