I think plushes are a bane to this entire "scene" but I wouldn't mind having that black Satan on my wall.

He makes his REAL big, I think most of those are more like 3-4 feet tall. And theyre all purty expensive, I don't really consider these to be in line with most plushes. Besides uglydolls are there any plushes that even make a blip on this or any "scene"? And to play devils advocate I've seen both Uglydolls and Cupco's work in S7 before. Just sayin'

Just because it's in the S7 store, something that S7 and its employees might sell (or even endorse or like) doesn't mean everyone who's an S7 reader / fan needs to appreciate it.

I don't know if any others have made any sort of impact, but whenever I browse Western designer toy sites, there are always some new plushes being shown off.

Generally my dislike of plushes stems from them all being way too cute. Something like a 3' tall monochromatic black Satan is a plush I could wholeheartedly get behind.

Word I hear ya, point taken to each his/her own thats the miracle of the internets. I personally think he kind of transcends plushes as a dorky toy subgenre though and makes it into art.

I totally agree. Still not a fan of plush, but these satans would be a rare exception.

Friends with you has made a lot of popular plushies too, besides uglydolls those are the only primary plushie companies that come to mind, circus punks are kind of a grey area for me.

i like. plush artists are a different breed. every city I go to, there is some underground plush artist making product and selling in stores. i like to look and touch, but rarely buy (except as gifts)

this cupco stuff is pretty sweet.

Some of the Friends With You plushes are wonderfully asymmetrical and bizarre - the old giant Malfis and the Albino Squids and Red Flyers. They just don't come across nearly as strong in the mini versions. Got to represent for the only Miami-based toy designers I know of!

I also liked the 3-foot Pardee BunnyWith Tentacles.
