Over at CrazyToy http://crazytoyz0709.blogspot.com/ they've just show a pic of the new M. Lau Gardener based on Clockwork Orange

Its pretty badass if you ask me Lau is still the man! It's interesting to see him doing takes on "Pop Culture" instead of his usual original characters.

Pretty cool, but did we need another Clockwork Orange toy? I guess it's like asking if we need another skull brain, lol.

He's doing a 2001 gardener too so maybe its a Stanley Kubrick homage. Who knows, its true tho it is an interesting choice.

Nice post! ALways great to see some Lau love here.

I picked up a bunch of stuff while I was in London a couple of weeks ago at Maharishi's sale.

A couple of years ago I had teh opportunity to meet him, and he was a really nice guy. His original Gardener 12" series still blows my mind!

So if theres a Kubrick series, does that mean we can expect an "Eyes Wide Shut" gardener

Nonsense aside, can anyone ever get a Lau piece over here in the west outrside of the aftermarket?

Sometimes they trickle in, but not too often. On a whim, DKE and Toy Tokyo get them, but more as a fluke I think. A few retailers received some of the Prodip Alien figures. I believe Giant Robot received some.

Kinda badass cool.
Would like to see a full body shot or a group of different figures.
Obviously much more creative than the [expletive deleted] set.

Abe you beat me to the EWS joke. I don't think anyone wants a Tom Cruise Gardiner. :-) I doubt if he'll touch "Barry Lyndon" or "Lolita" either, but a Spartacus or Dr. Strangelove could be cool.

"Remove ... your clothes!" That guy was way creepy. I love "Barry Lyndon" but at first couldn't see how any character from it would fit Lau's style. Maybe Lord Bullingdon. A Jack from "Shining" would definitely fit the bill.

A Lord Bullingdon would be cool...but maybe Lau could do a spin on The Chevalier with that weird makeup and painted mole...
