i think muton said he saw one awhile back. the last time he had one on display was at that supertouch halloween show at showroom nyc

i don't think he's ever done anything on canvas since he doesn't paint (at least i dont' see anything on the pusfan site)

yes, I remember that piece and if I would've had the chance it would've been mine. It was sold before the show even started I believe.

I'm under the impression that the closest thing you could get to a 'true Pus original' would be a black + white ink drawing. I've never seen a colored piece or a painting on canvas or anything like that.

Which, yes, does add a bit of heft (as if it needed it) to the value/relevance/etc. of his HP vinyls.

I have a few of giclees from SPAN and a couple lithos which are neat, but my favorite piece of 'art' from him is a little 7x7 dayglo screenprint that came with one of the hyperstoic books...totally FEELS like soemthing that was drawn vs. printed.

I know someone on the board who owns 2 OG ink drawings. I won't bust him out though.

its pretty obvious.

anyways, the only gallery show i know of was the psych solutions show in nyc years ago. you see the posters all the time on the bay. i think he sold some of his orignal drawings.

i had my hopes for sdcc this year that some stuff would be available, as my credit card was open and waiting. :(

the toys are the canvas though.

i don't think "paintings" exist but there are people who own drawings.

No i dont think he posts here very often and he happened upon them from someone who wouldnt want it aired publicly that he sold them. I wish he post photos though. I think Stealthtank was there when I met him. nerdquake 07

I think those artist proofs are prints, same as the regular ones. They're just the initial pulls in the run.

I have a hand painted w/ some stippling Jawbox record cover which pushead sold through a auction on pusfans site many years ago. It is pretty cool. He also did an original for a super 7 show as well. maybe someone here can confirm that.

I have one of the TAD 'Lycanthrope' 7" with the hand-painted 'animation cell' sleeve. Probably the closest that I will ever get to owning an original piece of Pus art.

Kirk Hammett owns lots of original Pushead artwork
& has a huge monster and japanese toy collection.

too bad he's not a member here to share info & pics.

i remember seeing a magazine pic of his collection
in the mid 80s, it was insane! must be 10 fold now.

He definietly had an original in an S7 show from 2005 I think. Same show had an excellent Ron English Godzilla/Mickey Mouse pic as well if I recall correctly. Think it may have been a Godzilla (50th anniv?) tribute show?
