ummm. this is like the opposite of when you're a young boy and you take your sister's barbie's clothes off only to discover a neutered blank wall of plastic. yeah the opposite of that. the problem I have (and the pleasure as well) with the piece is that nude lady parts are supposed to make me feel happy in a particular way that this does not. the piece is a bit misogynistic in its twisted objectification of what some would consider the "vital" parts of the woman (notice no noticeable eyes. no eyes mean no identity beyond physical shape) it does it well. |

That's a wonderful piece of work, by far one of the best 'figures/creatures' i've seen all year. The paints on all of Carlos' sculptures look so 'glossy', his unique style is hard to top. I'm totally into the fact that 'it' has no eyes. |
