Looks like Strangeco will be the US distributer for Jim Woodring's Lorbo figure by Presspop.

Strangeco shows their release date sometime in December, so the other releases probably will come a bit before (?) Anyone heard from presspop about the unpainted releases? Seems they offered these months ago.

Paid my invoice, but the dollar to yen conversion is painful at the moment.

I'm more concerned about the paint. Doesn't seem to pop or isn't as electric as past toys.
Maybe they are bad photos, but the paint almost looks cheap.

Yeah - that paint does'nt do it for me either.
I'm pretty happy to have score a unpainted.
Still, I wonder what an unpainted chinese vinyl will look like :?

well, i personally can't fuckin wait! i got a box from presspop today thinking it was the toys but i was disappointed to find it was the old frank, pushpaw/pupshaw set and a jiva with new paint application that i had ordered at the same time to replace my beat up old f/p/p set.

but then i was overjoyed again becasue his latest book, the museum of love and mystery was also in the box and ohmigod it's just so fuggin beautiful! gonna have to get another copy becasue this one will quickly become worn and used and loved too much. get this book! it's gorgeous!

and y'know, i think every single time woodring has had a toy release i've heard the exact same thing about the paint appication and you know what? none of them have disappointed in the least when held in hand so i reserve any judegement till i have it in my hot sweaty palm.

i got the museum book at sdcc so i was able to get it signed. it is very nice.
i was also suprised that he did a sketch for me.
i always got the feeling that he was sort of a douche, but that was not the case he is a very humble nice guy.

actually he hates most of humanity and only converses with the public when his publisher tells him to. ;)

kinda half kidding about this but kinda not too. jim is a wonderful guy, i totally idolize him and adore his output. i consider him a friend as well. jim has seen god and chats with him/her on a semi-daily basis and after that, the rest of us loook pretty squirelly in comparison.
