At least they aren't blind-boxed.

^^ While I agree, I tend to be more tactful. I would say something like, "Not my thing, but then neither is MLP."

MLP is MY thing. http://www.mlparena.com/

I like these better than some of their contemporary single-artist mini-fig series by other western artists. the skull mouth guy I might even buy. the last pic is the best tho. six eyed golem-guy isn't bad, and i wouldn't mind one of the cowgirls.

from the pics, these have come out better than some of English's other foray's into toy making.

go check out mlparena's custom section, it's a trip to the other side like no other.

See, this is where it all falls apart for me... I have no problem with an artist doing his thing, or even wanting to find a way to expand his medium or customer base, but to call these 'toys' seems outrageous. They are baubles... toys are designed to be played with and enjoyed and DO things... mini vinyl statuettes of art prints like these are not toys.

no in this case I think suck, suck, suck is too tactful.

I have to admit having a very soft spot for early english work and paintings but this stuf...

one of the funniest thing for me at SDCC was watching a lot of the people who were taking dumps on the English mini buy them once TT had them at the con.

too funny Lorne.

Probably teh same people who never reveal their collections. I have so many people stop by its impossible for me to keep anythng secret, not that I would care anyway. I still get shit for having KR stuff on display - probably teh same stuff that many people here still have or did have, but sold.

I like my little Ron mini's. Not a patch on his art - but having his sig in silver on teh back of them always makes them so much more than a hunk of vinyil for me.

When I first saw 'em I thought they were full size toys and pretty crude. Having realized they were minis I really took a shine to 'em but seeing the full series I'm thinking the TT x SDCC exclusives are the best of the bunch. There are some pretty 'iffy' sculpts in amongst the set.
