what exactly does "designer" mean? don't all toy concepts start as a "design"?

I think they just mean "designed by some guy you've heard of before" as opposed to "designed by some guy in an office and another guy in a factory in China."

The substance used to be called MDMA and it was initially synthesized by pharmaceutical companies.

Now it's illegal, may or may not contain MDMA, and is often heavily stepped on. The "designer drug" media sound bite label fits a lot better due to criminalization.

Usually means someone's (i.e fill in hyped artist) ego is all over the toy, and the three dimensional vinyl is the palette. Where as with kaiju the toy itself is the star.

I just shared 5 bottles of CASS with my father in law here in Seoul so
sorry for the poor grammar but for me, CRITTERBOX had it right.
"Designer Toys" to them meant "let`s make toys based on
known/loved artist`s art works."

It was 2003 and the good was Critterbox, Giant Robot, Michael Lau, Eric So,
Sony Capsule, MEDICOM, Jakuan at 360, Pete Fowler, Mori Chax, SUPER 7,
and anything CUBEWORKS was putting out.

Now it`s 2009 and you know the bad. It still pretends to thrive.

this is about the best way to put it.

I miss 360 and Sony Capsule stuff a lot. 360 was one of the greatest places to hang out when it existed. The bad forced Jakuan out of toys altogether.
