The Loyal Subjects are making a 48-inch tall fiberglass version the Sam Flores Kid Dragon figure. It's going to still come in 3 parts, and they'll be f-ing huge. • Orange (Edition of 10) @ $6,000 Each •Grey (Edition of 6) @ $6,200 Each • Blue (Edition of 5) @ $6,400 Each • Purple (Edition of 5) @ $6,400 Each • Gold (Edition of 4) @ $6,500 Each Comes with Certificate of Authenticity (although do you really think bootleggers will take the time on this shiz?. 50% deposit due at the time of your order. With those prices, spending a hundred on a Bwana Killer doesn't feel all that bad. It seems like it would be nice for retail type shops as well (tax write off anyone?)... What one are you guys going to get... |

If it was a Tigerbaby or Fatima(which they should have made instead) I think a few people might be interested. However, the price is insane. It's not really hurting posting it here as it is something kinda different/pretty limited, and it's not like he's trying to sell it to us. I agree that it would fit and sell better on KR. Maybe read through some of the FAQ's section slipstar. |

You guys are right I made a mistake I thought this was the american idols section, I didn't realise this was the paint slipstar01 into a box section... I'm not trying to sell anyone shit, because I know that most of you don't want a four foot tall dragon boy in your living room, but seriously, I don't see where the hate for this guy comes from. Flores artwork is heavily influenced by Asian Culture (dragon boy?) I'm almost positive KR has never sold a piece by Flores, So I don't know why you jump on the hate so soon. That said I realise this is a kaiju toy board, but, I thought those prices were pretty scary (?) Personally I think his work is way more original than any of Kaws recent stuf (maybe not as original as Jon Foster though), The only pieces I remotely are interested in from Kaws are the Pushead collab and the Skull Kun piece but one collaboration with SecretBase or Bounty Hunter, and I guess anything you make after that is GOLD right? If anyone takes this as a backlash, than you shouldn't cause I could care less if you hate the toy/statue or love it, I'm just saying this is something that's coming, and these are the prices. Also That post was a copy paste job with a few words edited to direct it toward you guys, don't hate me for the cheesy style in which the original guy wrote it. P.S. I thought everyone loved Garfield, you didn't like Garfield as a kid? What's wrong with you? |

You didn't do anything "wrong", per se. But this sort of shit isn't what this board is about. If anybody is interested in that crap they'll find the info elsewhere. About the only Western artists that have any amount of crossover appeal are Biskup and KAWS. Leave the Flores, Chueh, Ledbetter, etc crap outta here. I realize it's not so cut and dry anymore now that S7 isn't about "kaiju", but we try to maintain some level of integrity nonetheless. |

Uh huh, and your point is??? KFGU has as much to do with kaiju as "Old Skool Kaiju" seen here: ![]() Just because it has "kaiju" in the name doesn't mean that, in any way, it's kaiju. |

Like I said I know that's not going to win me any cool points with the monster crowd here... I'm just pointing out that some folks stroke it differently... The reason I like this shit is cause the quality is super high, you get hand crafted paint jobs, and who didn't grow up going to the arcade, throwing in a quarter to smash down a city in Rampage. I get where you guys are coming from with your hate, but it's not like I'm just some young kid that has no idea about this shit... Like I said in a post earlier, when you have a monkey on your back you can't afford to buy anything... Ever... Life is different now and I can buy and do what I want. I was listening to the misfits in 92 and copying pushead ideas for band flyers that I was drawing. The misfits which led me to Balzac the music group, which in turn lead me to balzac the toy designer... My first skatedeck was a Zorlac (handed down from my brothers friend) Which my father (RIP) commenced to sanding the graphics off of when he finally caught a glimpse (I was working hard at getting that pesky skull off anyways f-ing curbs). I know that KGFGU aren't great and for the most part can agree, they're not Kaiju, but I've read what most people were saying about the demon seed, and I didn't really see the problem, it was made in Japan, and sculpted by the same people that make sculpts that most of us cream over, and If you compare it to recent RxH stuff like fortune kitty, it's downright evil. I think a big issue is that you guys don't like things that are "cute" but look at Booska. In a interview with Eiji Tsuburaya (the creator of Ultraman) he said that was his favorite monster he created. Taste changes and if you limit yourself to one thing, that you become limited. This original post wasn't supposed to be about me but since I haven't filled out my profile hear yet, I feel like I have to step up to the plate a little. P.S. Before I posted this I did look up Sam Flores under the search engine here, I didn't come up with much but I did see that the Dragon Boy sculpt was mentioned to no ridicule, and some praise, therefore I made the ever so rash judgment of posting my original post... I feel I have learned a valuable lesson here and if so wished my post can be deleted at will by whatever Mod there may be. |

thank you slipstar for the confessional. flores is ok. I like his art way more than his toys. skullbrain is a tricky crowd to please. you would have been better off digging up some obscure Balzac toy or an old Pushead flyer somewhere. |

Quote: Dude... WTF are you smoking? Seriously, people that I admire are giving me shit, I must be on the fast track to something here. You didn't understand what that meant "One of My favorite monsters I created would have to be Booska" Booska is a pretty cuddly looking little guy... I spelled it out pretty well. I don't think anyone would accuse you of making "cute" monsters Paul, but in Japan "Cuteness" is a big thing, that's probably the reason that most of the punk rockers in J make these hideous fucking monsters, it's rebellion for growing up in a country where everything has to be adorable... My point is the guy that created the monsters that most here drool over, loves his Booska most, out of all the disgusting, evil, monsters Ultra man faced, he picks, Booska as his most loved creation. That goes to show you that there are a lot of different tastes, everyone has room to change, and as you get older you realize there's nothing wrong with a little splash of cute thrown in every once in awhile (when you guys get married you'll figure it out haha jk I joke I joke) |

Yeah but if I dug up that shit, it wouldn't be news... Ah well take it easy folks, you've been a great audience, rest is for the wicked and I'm sleepy... I'll manage to live, and believe me I won't every post Flores Ledshmetter Buff Blah Blah Blah here ever again, at least y'all are honest and aren't afraid to get all internet gangster... It's kind of nice, you guys are making me feel like I'm 15 and in Gym class with the football team; in other words young. Peace ![]() |

It was news to me on the 4 foots, that I haven't heard anywhere else, so I found it a cool read even though I don't have that kinda dough. ( I dig the sculpt and am into western vinyl as well as eastern though) Some folks aren't into any western, and that's just the way it goes. You are right... Diff strokes for diff... |
