I didn't think guy would ever be getting a 3D representation, let alone the complete vinyl treatment. Very happy to be dead wrong and between this and the Rebootlegs this looks to be a fantastic year for PK. Cannot wait to see this painted up! The original illustration: Yes!!!! |

I like the illustration a lot more than the sculpt. On the drawing the face is not as robotish. I feel the eyes lost expression (they're not painted yet of course) and preferred the hair with no lines. Eyes brows are completely different. And not liking the mouth either. I'm only saying all this because I really liked the illustration, but I'm sure Paul probably had his motives for the changes when translating to 3d. We'll see where this goes in vinyl and with paint. |

Wow! I dont collect PK because I cant deal with the price, but I might have to change my tune for this guy. What an awesome sculpt I feel you Axolotl, if the eyes could have kept the illustrations style, it would be even better. |

I feel like when it's painted it will look more true to the illustration, especially in regards to the eyes and hair. I really like the more robotic look that the sculpt has. It is something different from the mostly organic PK work we've seen. It also doesn't have the weirdness factor* that most PK toys have, maybe because it's paying more homage to vintage toys? Either way I can't wait to see it in vinyl and play with it. I'm sure it will have lots of playability with different hand options. *When I say weirdness factor, I mean this in the most loving, creative, and mind blowing, way possible. |

I really like this guy. I find that with a lot of Japanese toys the toy and the illustration are a bit different. To me it has the soul of the illustration but pushed further. Like the illustration was the birth of the idea and the toy is the finished refined thought out product that Paul wanted. Also, like mentioned once done it will only pull it out more. I think we all can agree PKs paint apps always deliver. Its also really hard to do robot sculpts with all the clean and smooth open surfaces . Its something I want to try since all I do is crude textured sculpts. This just inspires me |

It would be an awesome idea if PK's robot and yours (if you come up with one) shared some kind of universe or had some type of connection. Theres just so much cool blowing out of your's and PK's figures, its a shame they dont have some relationship. |

Pretty much all of PK's toys are interconnected in his own universe |

I really like this guy. I can't wait to see a painted version of it. I've never bought a PK figure, but this might be the first if the price is right. |

Definitely an interesting figure. I can see the improvement in detail of from the drawing to the sculpt as being pretty typical for a manga character. Paul has definitely captured a great vintage robot feel, the lines around the eyes/face especially are reminiscent of Robot K, but there is no question is has that typical PK style to it too (e.g. the curves, and more organic parts). Great work Paul. |

baronacasino wrote: he looks like a giant next to the king jinx. how tall is this guy paul? He's standard size. Nice to know people are interested. I was not yet absolute on doing it, it was mostly a pet project. Just decided to finally sculpt a ROBOT, never really planned to release it because I have very much slated for this year. But it might be possible next year. He is a total Patchi robot, with many elements of Tokusatsu robots I like, plus my own design (with the ROBOT eye glasses style eyes Don and I LOVE to wear and bump into lamp posts, eat drink and drive in) Manga by Mitsuteru Yokoyama (Giant Robot, Babylon 2) and many others that I absolutely loved as a kid in the 70's. I went for the OPTIMUM combination as I don't plan on sculpting or designing many more robots or at all. It's tough. Like many robots there is "Manga" versions and live action versions. So you never really know? You don't see it all do you. |

Adam Kadmon vs. Adam - not speaking religiously, not particularly religious myself, just enjoy parallels to such hokum. |

Plenty of misplaced mouths, puckered sphincter holes, and crustacean infestations on the waxing table as we speak. Sometimes we have to mix it up and sculpt other things, or it gets stale doing it. |

Personally, the appeal to me, is how much of a patchi-kaiju/vintage feel it has to it. The little details with the stars on the jacket and the hand accessory all add to it. Making something crude and layered seems incredibly difficult, so making something like this, something with smooth lines,...well I can't imagine the hours. Can't wait to find out the back story of Domino Jack. He already reminds me of some alien bounty hunter who would hunt down Joe, Bat and Boss. Anyway it turned out fantastic...I can't wait to see it painted up. |

First hand, my stuff is pretty reasonable I think. |

Second hand, jesus those flippers should stick to Nags. And Nags shouldn't even be mentioned around your stuff Paul. Your pieces make Nags look worse, I thought that would be impossible! |

I like it quite a bit. I go gaga over the Paul Kaiju sculpts and this one will be another one on the list. As for price, all of the PK toys are very reasonably priced and mentioning other, less crafted, toys with craters all over them as a comparison to these seems like a disservice to the love these toys show. I like that the sculpt is different than the illustration, less dracula-like and more patchi. All else said, I need a vinyl king jinx, I just love that guy having more and more PK each year only means more and more people get to see and maybe own good work. |

I didn't see the Dracula likeness until you mentioned it. The illustrations eyes give me the feeling of a punky robot that doesn't give a damn, he's just here to kick some ass. It very much give's him an attitude. In the sculpt, the eyes look more alien like. But definitely, besides mini bosses, I am going to try for one of these. Robots are pretty killer. |

It is different definitely different than his other figures but I like it quite a lot. It's definitely got the vintage feel but with the PK sculpting style we all love. There's also quite a lot of detail on this figure and I can definitely appreciate the hard work that went into creating it. Just look at the damn hands! |
