Post subject:  the OLD ONES [4/26 update] GID w/Rub

'The Old Ones' is a line of patchi kaiju, Inspired by and in homage to Jack "The King" Kirby. As a kid I grew up reading about great monsters with absurd powers. And names that sounded more like onomatopoeia, Then any language I knew of. I wondered where they were from... What other horrible things lived on their world?

The Old World is a savage place. A place where titanic monstrosities have kept all other life underfoot and in their gullets. Beings so ancient and powerful they're believed to be as old as time itself. The older they are, The more powerful the beast. Scarred and hardened by eons of super powered darwinism. Till one day a strange obelisk fell from the heavens. It was a cold dark night. and the monolith was warm and bright. And when a strange little ape hid beneath it for warmth, Something changed.

The Thunder Dog
After accidentally swallowing a chunk of the monolith in an attempt at an easy meal. This great lizard became enlightened. And all to aware that despite his great size. They're were much more powerful beasts inhabiting his home. Thou he may not match they're strength, With the wit and guidance of Khonsu. He may finally be able to secure his territory.

Gran Venus
Patrolling the sky above, Is one of the greatest threats this world has to offer. A Girth so immense it's unimaginable how it could fly at such heights. Gran Venus is old, So old she is the only instance of an Old One Rearing a child. These beasts show no mercy or remorse when killing for sport. But Venus has a different reason. She will destroy all she must, to ensure the life of her child Eros.

Kame-Loa
A tremor shakes the old world. A once serene Mountain begins to crumble and Erupt. From deep within the great volcano rises Kame-Loa. A beast not made of bone and sinew, But of molten fire, and rock. His skin barely holding the Inferno within. Driven from his home within the mountain, He must find refuge. Gods save whom or what gets between him and his new home.

Human currency for scale only! (non of you can have my quarter.)
Eros
Eros is the Child of Gran Venus. But after being fed a pulp made from the monolith He changes. His mind grows much quicker then his small body. And as a result a dormant ability is revealed. Now the smartest being on the old world and Telekinetic. Young Eros has power far beyond his youth.

Khonsu
After a night bathing in the warmth of the monolith. The once primitive ape now possessed gnosis. The understanding of all things. With the help of his new friends Eros and the Thunder Dog. Khonsu hopes to return to his tribe with the gift of Sentience. So perhaps they may have a chance to be more then just food.

Georilla
The only natural predator of the Old Ones. Tribes of these apes live deep beneath the ground. their stone like skin protecting them from the extreme heat. They use their immense strength to hunt and feed on the Old Ones. After a century of tracking their next Meal. They Find their quarry. But the great Kame-Loa retreats Destroying all but one from the hunting party in the process. Thrown by the volcanos eruption. This once subterranean Ape must now make due on the surface of The Old World.

Cave Brute
A subspecies of the same family as Khonsu. These hulking apes live only on animal protein. It grants them incredible strength. But due to the stunted ecosystem the Old Ones create they have resorted to cannibalizing other apes. After generations of this the tribe has grown dim and violent. They're strength and blood lust makes them almost as large a threat as the Old Ones themselves. They're hunger never stops. So neither does the hunt.

I like them, I like the way they all stand the same and tie together but all look so different.

I really like the toad-Buddha-looking one.

The detail on the shell looks very good, will that transfer into the vinyl at that scale?

A handful of these would make great shelf fodder. :D
