How awesome is this thing? Is it even real? Not to be released until 2014.

Well yeah, it's there for pre-order. I guess you don't get it till 2014. If I understand correctly.

Definitely looks pretty cool, I wish it was soft vinyl though :(

I don't know if I've ever seen soft vinyl quite that detailed.

24" Inch Skinner Bot! Thats what Unbox needs to do! Then I can sit it with my Shogun Warriors... Skinner Warriors!!

We're actually talking about it on IG, thought about a 12" Bog but then again he mentioned a 15" would be better, but a 24" can't even imagine how freaking badass that would b.

The detail on this sculpt is insane, thanks for the pic.

Amazing!

I am dying to see how it's going to be articulated.

Hmm.. I really wasn't expecting any articulation out of this one. Would be cool, though.

this is a vinyl figure that will have points of articulation. There is still a lot of engineering work to do but the details will all be captured.

Straight from the unbox instagram!

Is the image a Zbrush render?

This thing is ridiculously boring. Nothing new here, aside from the use of vinyl as the medium.

Some western artists are going hard off the left field. Specially those that are getting over exposed. I hope this is not made in vinyl, there's other mediums that can do better justice to the sculpting work here. But the bandwagon is there, so I'm assuming it'll be used, so all the snap-back-Jordan-wearing kaiju fans will think it's the dopest thing and clamor it as the new primadonna. Another flop for a movement that recently seems to be going more back than forward.

Stick to painting skinner, or at least do your own sculpt work. This is stale.

First thing I think of when I look at the face is Nomak from Blade 2. There's seriously just waaaay too much going on for my eyes, personally. Does it look pretty bad ass? I totally think so. But I feel like this would be more apt as a legitimate statue piece, rather than a sofubi figure. Bansheebot took the words outta my mouth with the McFarlane reference.

The thing is, Skinner doesn't accommodate only to Kaiju fans, through his art and working with others he creates things that he thinks are awesome. AS you can see, Skinner wasnt the one to make this posting, and rarely ever posts on skullbrain. If you find his work stale or boring, i really think he could care less as long as he's making things that he likes, (whether it's Kaiju/Sofubi related or not) and for some reason i feel like theres a lot of people out there who like what Skinners doing. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

IMO at the end that's all that matters, and personally i consider myself a fan of all the creepy $hit that comes out of his fuckd up brain "to each his own"
