Japanese vinyl? If so, I'd bite.

Interesting as a stand alone sculpt.

Damn, this thing looks cool. It'd be perfect as a head on a Fetish Mode xxx-la.

BECAUSE EVERYTHING IS BETTER IN JP VINYL.

So, hm, a semi-naked woman sculpted into a head. Where have I seen that before?

I like it much better as a resin sculpture than I think I would as a vinyl, especially since it is non-articulated. I think the weight of resin would give it a nice heft too, either for holding, or placement on a shelf/desk. It also wouldn't be too heavy to wall mount either.

I don't like it. It reminds me of one of those cheesy paintings/illustrations where it's all an elaborate Rubin vase, cheapened even more by the vinyl medium.

Thanks for the info headlessking. That unpainted resin 'lilith' is great, Love it! Very interesting. I hope I can get an unpainted vinyl version. You mention that a friend of yours made it, please keep us in the loop and invite him to post here on Skullbrain...

I've gotten to hold a few different variations in color of these guys. Good heft to 'em, not too heavy for resin. Definitely a niche design, I'd say. But I'm fond of it. Looking forward to both resin and vinyl versions. The idea of a cap at the bottom to be used as a head is pretty cool, too.

Saw this thread and thought I'd post up an update!

Death Cat Toys is releasing their logo as an actual sculpt, GID blue test pulls were done today by Jonathan DuBose of DuBoseArt.com in addition to future castings.
The sculpt itself was done by Joshua Sutton of EraSculpture.com

Image

Here's a photo of the GID pull, though it looks like there won't be a release until after a June showing at Toy Art Gallery.

Personally, I don't like the sculpt itself and it seems a bit contrived. The bucktoothed skull on the head is seriously comical.

I love that cat, but yea the skull on the top takes some of the edge off the cat itself
