Hey guys! Let me show you something i been working on, i had it in mind for a couple years and just recently (6 months ago I finally decide to go with it and sculpt it) im really excited about it for a few good reasons, but particularly because its gonna be my first self produced toy. so it shows just how cool of a character its is. the history of this guy makes so much sense, i cant wait to start to work on the art for his background history. Im trying to add some cool features to the whole concept. We'll se how that goes. I had a bunch of "WIP" pictures, but cant find them anywhere. (i know some of you like the pictures of how a figure develops its self.) when i find them i'll share.

Huexolotl is the name the old Aztecs give to the Turkey (Turkeys are pretty bad ass creatures ugly as fuck, yet amazing, colors and forms also they are originally from Mexico) Huexolotl is a mix of two words in "nahuatl" (language of the Aztecs). it means BIG MONSTER (hell yeah!) . and Aztecs damn got it right, this things are like real life Kaijus.. so imagine this guys 20mts tall destroying the pyramids and bringin the aztecs down. i cant imagine them as the real cause of the powerful Aztec emporium fall. not Spaniards and shit. it was a Huge Huexolotl who came out of the deepest cave in a volcano or something like that. im just thinking loud now. but its kinda what was goin thru my head with this guy. it just makes so much sense.

Where do I sign up for one ? The combination of the clean body sculpt with the rough-textured head/neck area is very nice. How big will this be?

If I recall (it's already in the hands of the masters in Japan) it was 9" tall as you know we're gonna lose a bit of that size. But it actually feels bigger in hand, the fat round body helps to that. It will be actually a LOT of vinyl.

Can't wait to see the finished result! indeed. actually i was tempted to make the eyes just as a socket, so i can use acrylic or plastic eyes. but in the end i already like it how it looked so i scrapped that idea.

A great pleasure to know that you are working on this interesting figure, especially knowing that it is a production that belongs to you 100%. something I had always questioned why you didn't make your own vinyl figure before?, you have all skills, style , etc … really nice news to me see what you doing in particular with this project !! Sculpt as usual is great but all the hole concept with name and history is amazing, maybe i can dig on this because im into the same Mexican Culture and i know how amazing is that you take this character as a symbolic of mixing great stuff as a kaiju toy based on a Aztek thing ! ( hope you get my point ) ;P Very cool character, would love to see the final piece and color ways on this guy !!! Again… Nice surprise to me looking at this post on SB ! Best Regards !!!
