Post subject: | Generic Skullbrain Sharpie Deck Thread |
THE TIME: Approximately 1 year ago THE PLACE: The KR message board THE WHY: In a bold riposte to his very own Sharpie deck series released on the ill-fated Monkey Skateboard label, Frank explained he was paid a paltry $20 per deck to draw on them with a sharpie. He suggested that if we wanted the real deal, then if we paid him $100 we could get the deck of our dreams. It sounded RAD, and approximately 23 of us were lucky enough to sign-up. THE WHY: In the preceeding year things have changed, and ever since skullbrain exploded into our consciousness, my visits to the KR board have become infrequent, therefore I'm starting the Sharpie Deck thread for me to be able to follow the progress of the Sharpie fan series from the comfort of my favorite Japanese toy message board. THE HOPE: Regular updates, previews, behind the scenes footage, and one day....my very own personalised flying V wielding glam-locking death-lock 100% Kozik skate deck. Will this thread live or die? Over to you Frank. |

the decks are actually going to be all painted in oils etc...hopefully making the eternal wait worth while. the last year has indeed been total insanity for me (in good ways) in my business and personal life. will I ever get caught up? who knows. |
