Hi and Happy New Year, Well yes we are running behind a bit. The estimated release date has been moved to late January and I hope to be able to offer pre-orders here in mid-January. I am very pleased with the first Test vinyls we received. ( see photos below ) The test shots are not in the final colors of corse, but they are from the factory molds and the detail is killer! The header card art is on the way to the printer and I will post some picts of that soon. We will also be enclosing with each figure set, an illustrated copy of the story, "The Legend of Plaseebo" printed on parchment paper. We are super pleased to have Hyper Hobby magazine in Japan, showing the figure and sarcophagus in the December 27th issue. Please let me know what you think so far. Best regards, Bob / Plaseebo To read the complete Legend of Plaseebo visit http://plaseebo.net/ More info and picts to come as we receive vinyl test shots, packaging proofs, etc. For additional info. contact: bob@plaseebo.net or 585 728 3424 ![]() |

Hey jessie, The first color-way edition will be a glow in dark vinyl mummy figure with an overall wash and wipe of dark umber to bring out the super detail and no eye inserts because Plaseebo has not yet awaken. Other forth coming color-way editions will feature pink, blue, and yellow eye inserts. BC |

Sounds like just what everyone needs to warm up an otherwise cold January to be. |

Hey Bob, I am really curious, did you sculpt any of those parts on Placeebo or are they just found objects put together? (i.e. did you sculpt the skull, hands or the doll torso) I think that it looks cool and all, but there seems to be a huge style difference between all of the parts of the figure and also his sarcophagus. I am really curious how you made such a cool piece. John |

Hi John, The Plaseebo Mummy figure sculpt is based on the body of a dwarf ( you have to read the Legend of Plaseebo story to understand this ) and is made up of a combination of manipulated found objects and sculpted parts and the Sarcophagus sculpt is built from scratch. The style difference between the figure and the sarcophagus is intentional and is inspired by Egyptian art. The original Egyptian sarcophagus is often carved and painted in a simplistic idealized manor in great contrast to the gruesome contents. Thats my take on it anyway. |
